I recommend Mark J Ryan’s writings/podcasts too on relationships, seduction, nlp, etc. From what I get myself, he does have a heart-based approach. He even mentions Androtics pheromones too in at least one of his podcasts!  
edit: I haven’t read his ebooks, I did listen to some podcasts which may or may not be representative… in other words YMMV!

I would also recommend he read Tariq “King Flex” Nasheed’s books (“Art of Macking”, “The Mack Within”, “Play Or Be Played”) and subscribe to Player Supreme’s podcast archive (over 140 episodes). I feel that these two gurus are better than most of the others because they don’t over-analyze the game. Alot of mainstream gurus have concentrated on tactical over practical. King Flex and Player Supreme use a style that is like using the force as opposed to calculating routines and memorizing canned lines.
