I’ve done quite a few searches on this and it has been compared to a number of brand scents. I’m looking for a cover scent that I can wear with or without [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) based mixes so that my GF won’t be able to tell whether I am wearing a cologne or not. I know that is a tall order but as long as it’s close she probably won’t pick up on it. 😃 Here’s hoping anyway 😉 I know I could just buy Akuto from AD but then this is my secret and I would be busted big time if she found out about the mones 😮 So what brand name is closest? If it’s not listed please post your thoughts. Thanks. ---

From my opinion YSL Body Kouros is the closest to [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/). YSL Body Kouros is more sweet than Akuto but they go well together. I have tried the other Parfumes above too. Burberry is way different than akuto I think. JPG is near but not close enough. But JPG covers akuto very good. I had the same thoughts like you. I don’t want to tell anyone that it’s akuto from androtics even when some of the members here think that mones doesn’t brainwash peoples mind and it should no big deal telling about them others. I think people would react weird or think you ripped them. So it will be stay my little secret. 😉 ---

Yup - I’m another who finds Body Kouros the closest match but again less sweet. Or I just name the main cover scent I’m using at the time. If a guy asks I do often tell him to search for [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) though! 😉 ---

So I kinda know the answer but I was hoping to get a clearer picture of all the scents and how they work for the benefit of those who are interested. But for me, and for you too it seems, I would like to wear say Kouros or [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) interchangeably without anyone telling the difference. 😛 ---

So given all the threads on this and the voting so far (all 2 votes LOL) Body Kouros is the winner. Has anyone tried AMMO FF21 with Body Kouros. Does it cover well? Do they clash? I’ve worn AMMO in FF21 a couple of days straight now and it seems like a sweet, clean smell and quite subtle when it dries down. But, I’ve never tried any of the above fragrances. I really want something that matches [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) because a) it rocks and b) it is so strong even in an MX that I need a plausible cover scent just in case I get pulled up on it by the GF. ---

I don’t think that Body Kouros covers FF21 well. I use normal [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) rarely because I find the scent too overwhelming. Only on party. The FF21 fragrance has reported to smell like a fragrance called “Irish Tweed”. I didn’t try out Irish Tweed but if someone should ask what scent Ammo is I would say Irish Tweed 😛 I also got a bottle of Ammo in neroli. You can place a custom order to get this. ---

Not with Body Kouros but [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) and FF21 are pretty vile when used together. The FF21 amplifies Akuto’s musky aspect in a very bad way. You can get Akuto on its own, at any strength from the supplies section? Then call it what you like - It seems that Kouros is produced by the batch and variance in scent does happen. Just checked - they also do limited editions - Home free! 😉😃 ---

Thanks for all the responses 🙂 Irish tweed is well out of my price range atm - last time I checked it was ?100 for 30ml. 😮 Cool Water is apparantly similar and a lot cheaper. I may pick up Body Kouros first then go for Cool Water. Not sure about picking up [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) as scent only my SO is bound to think the bottle is wierd so I might start customising the scent of AMMO. Does customising add a much to the time it takes AD to dispatch (on average)? Thanks ---

Cool water is not that similar. It has some similar qualities (incl irritation IME) but in overall scent, no. A custom order generally adds a couple of days, so not a lot more. ---

I thought Cool Water was similar to Irish Tweed (from what I’ve read elsewhere). Perhaps the similarity to Tweed pushes it too far away from FF21? Hmmm, well I’ll definitely pick up some Body Kouros. On a side note i.e off topic 😃 I ordered loads of aftershave samples ages ago so my SO didn’t pick up on any particular scent but not one of them has shown up in the mail. So I’ll have to splash the cash soon. Ammo in Akuto is my preferred choice now FF22 is gone. Although [Summer Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) has got in the way of that a bit. Diffusion isn’t quite so good but still quite acceptable. I can’t deny that FF21 is an excellent diffuser. Its fine at normal cologne strength, not nearly as overpowering as FF21 but a still good distinctive cologne that can be worn widely and does not fade nearly as badly as it does at 6%. I also know my sweet spot with Ammo now, so I can order 2x to avoid using too many sprays. ETA - I’m not convinced that Akuto at light/6% strength would be an adequate cover for Ammo and guys who have taken it in light Neroli have reported that its not strong enough either. ---

I find FF21 in AMMO to be quite mild - at least the SO has only commented once and that was when she had her nose right by my application point 😉 Do you think cologne strength will pass for Body Kouros? I get my Heavy Ammo with standard strength [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) and I’ve been finding the diffusion to be a little disappointing. Since FF21 can be whiffed from a city block away, i’ve been ordering it in neroli standard and even considered buying it in light 6%. However I’ve found neroli to be a lot more subtle, a little too subtle, so I cover that shit with plain old Curve and the ladies can’t keep their hands to themselves (not complaining). Since it’s Heavy Ammo and therefore I won’t be applying anymore than 3 sprays at a time anyway, you guys think I should get it in cologne strength? ---

Yes, I think you should. I don’t think 6% of either Akuto or [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) would cover that. ---
