There was a British study similar to that. It was an effort to determine the detrimental effects of a marijuana impaired driver. They were embarrassed to find them outperforming the non tokers.

Hmm, somehow it never even occurred to me that Israel was a big marijuana smoking place 🙄

Definitely a better driver when high versus being drunk. I’ll say that I probably drive my best when I’m sober and awake, but I probably drive better high than if I’m sleep deprived. 😛 Driving drunk is a complete no-no, even if I’m just buzzed I notice my driving become much more risky. Even if I’m extremely high, I might be cruising at exactly 65 in the far right lane, bumpin some tunes, but I’m sure as hell making it home safely.

Granted, being a more _cautious_ driver does not mean being a _better_ driver. But I’ll take cautious over risky any day.

Have stopped now, but for 5-10 years i’d drive home whilst being blind drunk or absolutely blitzed!@  
🙂

Wake up the next morning in bed, first thing I do is go to the garage and check my cars for any sort of damage because I can’t remember driving home 😃

So I can’t really give an answer due to the fact that whether I was stoned or drunk, I still ended up home in one piece 😉
