# Who should use 4x?

I see they have 1x 2x and 4x versions of IS and IO. I’m 40 so should I be using the 4x?

It doesn’t make too much of a difference. The only difference is that you’ll need less sprays which means less scent. I have to-gos of Instant Shine and [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) in 2x and they’re both great. But 2x and 4x are more expensive so keep that in mind.

The socials really have no bearing on age from what I’ve read and IME. However, I would recommend getting 1x to start to find what works for you, then if need be get 2x or 4x.

The Androstenols and TAA I use 2x because I typically use between 3-4 sprays.

so does the 2x smell worse? What are the scents of instant shine and instant openness smell like? I hear AMMO smells good but what about those two? I dont want to smell like BO or pee.
