> Is it possible it at all for a man to look at a woman and think “shes very attractive, wow” in an admiring way without wanting to sleep with her? or is that just not possible.

I’ve been thinking about this. The short answer is no. At least, not straight away.

I’ve realised that when I notice a woman for the first time, the very first thing I notice, before any conscious thoughts go through my head, is her body shape. This is instinctive.

Second would be her face, hair colour, approximate age, clothing etc.

If she fits the profile of a healthy, fertile woman, I do get a dark instinct at the back of my head telling me I’d like to seduce her and mate.

All this happens in the split second after laying eyes on her, but then the higher cerebral cortex jumps in and locks down the impulse. It has to, or no man would be able to function in society.

Your admiration stage comes later. Often much later. This is why men are literally capable of humping you and leaving you. They don’t feel that bond until some time has passed.

There’s a biological reason for this, Julia. Testosterone, the male sex hormone, blocks oxytocin, the bonding hormone. You have to give us time to allow the heart and the head on our shoulders to catch up with the little guy downstairs.

Gone… you really summed it in up for me with clarity and unconventional wisdom.

Julia, yes it is possible for men and women to be friends, it is however, very unlikely that the man will not (at some point) make a decision as to whether or not he would like to procreate with said woman this decision is not necessarily a conscious process but it nearly always occurs.

To put it bluntly, men have two brains, one in our head and one in our pants, unfortunately we were only provided with enough blood to allow one of them to function at any one time.

Take a look at the animal world, whilst there are monogamous species, the vast majority of male animals will attempt to pass their DNA to as many offspring as possible, via as many females as possible, unfortunately, the human male still has some residual genetic desires along these lines, what we also have is the social reasoning to understand that this isn’t necessarily appropriate, that is why [pheromones](https://a314.com/) can’t ‘force’ us to do anything against our will, only emphasise what is already there.

Of course, you women are completely unaware of this 🙄 hence my sig strip below has absolutely no truth whatsoever!

Ease back on the cops and you’ll be fine, you now have two major advantages, being female and some additional weaponry from Androtics. Enjoy the one sided battle 😃

I’d go with Shine & IS/A.

But, mones effect mesh with everyone’s chemistry differently. Experimenting with lots of things will find what works best with you. The up side is, all that experimentation is fun!

WoW!!! I am really blown away…so embarrassing but I feel like Ive been relearning the basics here at this forum, but now it all makes sense in a different sort of way.

Muskcloud.. you really know your birds and bees (testosterone blocking oxytocin etc.).

Diamond, Its too bad those “two brains” are not able to unite and become one.. reminds me of my brother.. totally physically attractred to voluptous blondish women, stripper types (think Carmen Electra and Pam Anderson minus a decade or so), yet dates impossibly thin, athletic and intelligent women. Clearly his 2 brains have not merged as of yet.

Whats so interesting about all of this is most gals I know become more attracted to the guy AFTER knowing him and its usually his personality, brains, or status that wins their heart…

Lady… Shine gives me a headache and is sooo opposite of my introverted personality (more IH) but I do like TAA on my more outgoing BF (along with ammo and IH occasionally)… makes me happy its far less headachy for me on him.

Only if he is gay or has low testosterone. You wont understand how it feels to be a man unless you have a penis. LOLZ

Mating strategies differ for men and women. A woman invests considerable resources in carrying a fetus to term. It is in her best interest to have help in ensuring the survival of the infant. A man can invest as little as a tablespoon of semen in an infant, so the strategy of sowing his seed widely and letting those that will, survive, is open to him.

Women often wish to 1 - evaluate the status and power potentials of a mate, to see if he is capable of supporting the rearing of offspring, and 2 - establish an emotional bond to ensure he is not only capable but also willing to stick around. After all, the other females are interested in the same qualities and are competing for his resources.

The reproductive variability for women is less than it is for males. Almost any woman who so wishes can have as many children as her biology will support. Although men can theoretically have hundreds or thousands of children, they are competing for limited female resources. That means some men will be very successful, and some men will never reproduce at all.

Men use a couple of mating strategies. I’ve alluded to them in this old post.

> [@Tournament and pair-bonding strategies for pheromone use](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/tournament-and-pair-bonding-strategies-for-pheromone-use/4009):
>
> Biologists have noted two types of species with distinct physical and behavioral characteristics with regard to mating. Those are called [tournament species](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tournament_species)and [pair bonding](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pair_bond)species. In tournament species males compete for the opportunity to mate with females. They may compete via fighting like the elk, or via displays like the peacock. In pair bonding species like the swan a male and a female form a lasting pair bond. (In a very few species it is the female that competes to mate with the mal…

Women also use multiple strategies. Once a woman has established a pair bond she can then cuckold the male and still have a fair assurance that her offspring will survive.

It is interesting that the driving forces we evolved under have now changed significantly. Many or most women are well able to support themselves. Also, DNA testing makes determination of paternity possible. However, it may take millions of years for our biologies to understand that we are not still roaming the African savanna.

Yes, I know this from experience, when I see an attractive women I don’t think about her in a sexual way really until I get to know her and connect with her, then, maybe, I will have those thoughts; however, I really _prefer_ males over females. And I really dislike the testosterone boost -none based products give me.. so, low testosterone and mostly gay 😃

Gwtw.. Thanks for the link… you really are a storehouse of knowledge.

Tournament species and pair bonding stratagies.. Being that these strategies are not used in many modern day pick-up stratagies at least among males, do you think that a large part of most men is being suppressed and denied whenever he goes against basic instincts?

Do you think ultimately this hurts the chances a man has in reproducing or in finding a girlfriend.

Also what do you think of tournament species strategies for long term bonding (ex. my boyfriend won my heart in T.S. stratagy-at least in his mind.. he really won it before this). And I have seen some Pair-bonding strategies end in discord.

What are your thoughts on this.

I believe both strategies are alive and well with modern humans. Tournament competition accounts for a lot of male bluster and agressive competition. Listen to the PUAs talk about “cock-blocking.”

Tournament strategies do not generally create strong long-term bonds. Harem members may stick around for some time, but they are easily replaced or captured by other males.

How many times have you heard of women liking powerful or agressive “jerks” who don’t take much account for their needs? This is the attraction of the female to the “successful” competitor. Unfortunately, young females may see something like an agressive gangster as a successful competitor, when in fact they will not compete very successfully in today’s world. The gang members would have probably have been big winners back on the savanna.

Humans are stuck in the middle as far as strategies go. Our relationships have sometimes been described as serial polygamy. It is true that with us, a lifetime pair-bond is pretty rare. Yet we do enforce as a society the care of offspring, to the dismay of many males who choose a tournament mating strategy.

As you will probably find from experience or from reading this forum, many women in established pair-bonds will be open to mating with tournament-strategy males during their fertile periods, with no intention of establishing an ongoing relationship. Certain [male pheromones](https://phero.com/) enhance this receptivity and are talked about here on the forum as conducive to one-night-stands or “jerkish” perceptions. Anone in particular.

In today’s world when cuckoldry is discovered, it often leads to the destruction of a pair-bond. Similarly, when the female establishes a (weak?) pair bond with a tournament-strategy male and he does not change his strategy she will often become disgusted and leave. If she doesn’t there are usually compensating advantages such as his having enough money or power to ensure her reproductive success and security.

Because

1. We are visual and they play the part.

2. God gave us two heads but only enough blood to use one at a time. Once the little one notices something it might like, enough blood flow is cut off to the big one so that we lose rational thought, sound judgement and decison-making.

“God gave us two heads but only enough blood to use one at a time.”

sooo…let me get this straight, the BIG head (upstairs) created strategies to satisfy the little head (downstairs) and these strategies were decided upon as “tournament strategies.”

Makes one wonder who the actual players are.

Oh my, this tread is really interesting!!! My English is not good enough to understand everything but I think I got the most.

LOL Julia I’d love to get hits as bluntly as you do from my target, maybe I should try the same phero-combination on him. I always thought he was a IS/B kind of guy though. Cutting down on the cops is what I would do indeed 🙂

Now reading the tread GWTW mentioned, my target seems to send confusing signals. He definately seems like the pair-bonding type of guy but he told me he isn’t into relationships, but likes to have no-strings-attached-sex. He’s lacking the -none though LOL he’s very shy and introvert. It’s like he’s not acting on his own pheromone signature…

Flirty Babes.. First off my signature had not changed in some time, only the outward reactions (hits) to my sig had changed.. I have not been comfortable with these “blunt” hits-the same ones you say youd like, so I subtracted the cops and cut down on the IH.. (Is/A is the same dosing).

Oh lordy, ah loves fake tits! Especially the ones that don’t move or jiggle during lovemaking and earthquakes!

My younger sister (a CPA/controller) once told me she used to act dumb all the time to attract guys. And she had it down to an art. She even fooled me a few times. She basically said it insured an endless supply of cute macho guys. Except her huge boobs were real. As soon as most of them found out she made 6 figures, had graduate degrees and could whip them at tennis, mountain biking and skiing, their little willies deflated and they ran like frightened puppy dogs. Male egos are delicate so keep that in mind next time you feel like judging a “insecure, overprimped, under-educated, bimbo-ish overly- fake tanned cartoon charicature women usually with strong regional accents in push up bras, fake tits and 10 inch heels.” She probably has a PhD and is faking it so she can take advantage of men…

“She probably has a PhD and is faking it so she can take advantage of men…”

…am I the only guy who would be completely flattered by this and feel even more than just plain attraction?
(as long as it is not kept up)

I throw disqualification lines at idiots, I want a woman whom is secure, knows how to dress, and no bullshit. I actually lose total interest on ladies who change meetup times more than once without a good explanation (work or family).

I will not help ditz girls, at all… some get pissed, but I am never looking for a one night stand. This shit isn’t for free, I know where I am going in life (up..hopefully) and I want a solid moral set as well as goals.

I can compete with the best of them, hell I just learned to play drums and took out a 4pc set to open mic night to generate attraction and as an opener (I’m the drummer).

This is basically to show there are some guys who do not think with their little roosters, and are not ape shit because you are hot.

One thing I love to do is lead to where before I ask someone out, I freeze out or stepback say “wait a second…I have values…” and go get a beer, come back and have a laugh at what was a precived "I can;t do this because I have values, when I ment I have values… I enjoy a real beer (as I will have a bud light or some crap beer and come back with a Heinekin or Shiner Bock… Asahi, Kirkin, Widmer, and have a good laugh and pick up where I left off and come on stronger.

That makes my nights fun.
