Another great thread by the amazing PheroQuirk. It really begs to question though who says women don’t like to be checked out?

I’ve read the bloggers opinion and his reasoning but he never offers any reasoning as to where he deduced the concept to begin with.

So ladies do you mind being checked out? Why so?

I would think not the cat calling construction worker stereo type but what about it?

Nope dont mind a bit as long as its not over done. I take it for what it is, a appreciation of there visual preferences. Even a whistle doesn’t bother me but if a guy gets vulgar or over the top then it gets embarrassing.

The only time I do mind is when I am talking about something serious and they are ignoring me because they are to busy checking me out. I think thats rude. Other then that I look at it as a compliment. If we didnt want to be noticed we wouldnt be using mones would we ?

Plus we check out guys just as much as they check out us. 😃

I think women with a healthy outlook like Tish here are fine with it so long as it doesn’t cross certain lines or result in other things such as an opinion being ignored.
IE I totally wasn’t paying attention to what she said as I was too busy staring at her avatar.

That said, I think it’s really just a matter of some women resenting men so much that anything men like is seen as bad and they’ll feel an urge to be contrary for the sake of being contrary.
Example: Once upon a time women were expected to be covered as much as possible in the name of puritanical morality. This was seen as men exerting control over women and making them ashamed of their bodies and sexuality.
As a result the sexual revolution occurred and everything from daily wear to swimwear became more form fitting and revealing.
But then something horrible happened…men liked it…now the gender feminists see overt displays of female sexuality as exploitation.

Personally, I take into account how the woman is dressed. If she’s dressed fairly conservatively and any curve or skin I see is an unavoidable side effect of her just being built like a woman I keep it as discreet as I can. But if skirts are high and tops are low then I follow the philosophy that Macy’s doesn’t put products in display windows hoping that people WON’T look at them.
