I read a bit here about androstenone which is supposed to smell bad. I also read that some men cannot smell it. How can you find out about this? I can smell the piss scent on public toilets is this a “good sign”? What I’m worried about is using pheros and not noticing anything and only smelling the cover scent while others think I smell bad. And what I also don’t understand is why the prescription of ammo says that you can go up to 8 sprays even though ammo contains androstenone? The highest I have gone with ammunition was 3 sprays and I noticed no effects. Shall I go higher? I really don’t understand why I got no results because in my opinion the smell was very present. If I can strongly smell it then people close to me should also smell/sense it, right? Then why was nobody affected? ---

Straight androstenone does smell bad to some people. Ammo is well buffered with other [pheromones](https://a314.com/) so that the -none really doesn’t stand out. It is also scented with a cologne cover called Game (smells like laundry detergent to me). I’d suggest starting with one or two sprays and stick with it for a few tries. It may be that you are getting attention but it is more subtle. Women don’t generally rip your clothes off just because you are wearing pheros (although I’ve seen it happen first hand). Below is a fantastic post started by Jasmin to help us guys figure out when a woman is interested in us. Most of the time it is quite subtle. You won’t smell like piss with normal doses and use of a good cover. The only time a small dose can get really funky is when applied to armpits or crotch. The sweat and bacteria mixes with the mones and produces a powerful odor not unlike dead skunk and fermented piss. But most of us are smart enough not to put friggen androstenone in armpits… ---

Allright. But generally speaking, does the “essence” of pheromones like IJ or TUTH smell bad? When I spray IJ or TUTH on my arm and then wash it then the perfume scent is basically gone and all that remains is the pheromone essence as I’d call it and even though it smells spicy I wouldn’t say that it smells like piss. Does this mean that I cannot smell none?
