So i was at work today and out of the blue i remembered watching a movie called ‘Perfume: the story of a murderer’. For those of you who haven’t seen this movie, if you are a fan of [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) you gotta rent this. Of course the movie is not realistic but the idea was brilliant and made most of us think…what if there was such a scent so magnetic and powerful that can alter a persons thinking and reactions dramatically.

Without giving away too much the movie is set in 18 century france where a boy was left for dead in rotting fish guts in the slums of paris. When he is rescued by some passers he is later taught the art of perfume making, where he discovered he had outstanding olfactory senses. He becomes obsessed with his new job that he desired to make the ultimate perfume. In so doing he discovers a powerful ingredient that made the perfect scent that made people react unexpectedly. One of my favourite scene is when he ochestrated an orgy by unleashing a powerful scent in the village.

Thats all i’ll say but when you get a chance check out the movie its fun and from what i read in these forums thats what the newbies are probably expecting with the use of pheromones; to make the exposed victim lose all inhibitions and just have sex with you at the wiff of a scent 😃 . Well sadly thats not gona happen! For those of you that have seen the movie your thoughts please.

Good movie, but the book (a classic in french litterature, to many people ^^) is just way ahead of it 🙂. But i like the narrative aspect of the film, nicely done, but the book is well worth the read 🙂.

I think Idle had a post going around with some movies that had pheromones in it. He had clips of “Perfume” in the thread, it was pretty cool I have to get the movie sometime.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer is _exactly_ what comes to mind when I think about pheromones. I think it’s interesting how only someone who truly concentrates upon scent masters its effects.

And I agree, the book is better, but the movie is great too!
