Ok so a little background first.
When I started mones, I ate a lot of meat and dairy and eggs and all that good stuff, and I found favorable results with synthetic pheros.
I then went about 5 months without pheros and in that time period I became vegan.

Just recently I grabbed some pheros products and decided to give it another go. But it didn’t take long to see that my sweet spots weren’t so sweet anymore. I couldn’t get any of the old results.
I pondered and searched the internet and I came to the conclusion it probably has something to do with my diet. Further searching led me to believe it has a lot to do with my dietary fats and zinc intake.. Since these were now much lower due to being vegan.

So I went and bought some coconut oil for saturated fat and zinc supplements.. And wow, it didn’t take long until I saw great results. I concluded this was the issue to my problem..
But…
One day about 4 days ago I looked at my head near my temple and seem to have noticed what appears to be a slight small bald patch forming (not completely bald).
Then I was back on the web searching answers and it seems that it may have something to do with hight DHT and TEST from what I’m taking.
This scared me and worried me so I discontinued the zinc but not the coconut oil. I feel it’s the zinc though for some reason.

Anyways..

My question is, can zinc raise test levels and DHT in the body?
I really would like to continue with my seemingly flawless synthetic sweet spot signature but if it’s at the cost of hair loss, I’d rather pass. Should I stop taking zinc? What other possibilities do you think this could be?

Alright so after some research I’ve come to find that excessive zinc levels can lead to copper deficiency, which can then lead to lackluster hair and hair loss. It is also vital in hair color, so hair might not actually be lost, just lighter in pigment.

This appears to explain my experience quite well.

> This appears to explain my experience quite well.

You’re exactly right. Copper, along with tyrosine, is involved in melanin synthesis.

It is thought that copper deficiency can lead to colorless hair, the dreaded greys. So many people my age and even younger now have at least some grey hair, whereas it took our parents generation much longer to grey.

Only a generation or two ago there was a lot more copper in the soil. Soil runoff goes to the sea. Doing us no good on land. Nor the sea, apparently. Ironically soil runoff causes ?dead zones?: where land minerals are too rich for the sea. Nutrients from our food go into the toilet, at least in LA and SF, then are flushed right into the ocean.

> **[Dead zone (ecology)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_zone_(ecology))**
>
> Dead zones are hypoxic (low-oxygen) areas in the world's oceans and large lakes. Hypoxia occurs when dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration falls to or below 2 mg of O2/liter. When a body of water experiences hypoxic conditions, aquatic flora and fauna begin to change behavior in order to reach sections of water with higher oxygen levels. Once DO declines below 0.5 mg O2/liter in a body of water, mass mortality occurs. With such a low concentration of DO, these bodies of water fail to support the C...

Fruits and veggies today may be physically larger than ever. Nitrogen makes veggies physically larger. Decommissioned WW2 bomb factories became fertilizer factories, converting industrial nitrogen for bombs into industrial nitrogen for fertilizer. The addition of artificial nitrogen makes for large vegetables, but not necessarily nutrient dense ones. They’re “diluted”. Bigger size. Less filling. Lower micronutrient content.

Composition: What Is the Evidence?](http://depthome.brooklyn.cuny.edu/anthro/faculty/mitrovic/davis_2009_food_nutrient.pdf) DR David, Biochemical Institute, University of Texas, Austin.

A little easier to understand…
[Not Your Grandmother’s Organic Food | The Paleo Diet : The Paleo Diet](http://thepaleodiet.com/not-your-grandmothers-organic-food/)

In my opinion, until the world pulls it’s head out of it’s bum and starting recycling nutrients, supplementation may not only be smart, but essential.

From my understanding, **you want to take zinc and copper at different times.** Not only do they absorb better separately, but they perform very different functions. Copper tends to be stimulating, while some of the more absorbant forms of zinc tend can deepen sleep (and, of course, raise T levels). Combo Z/Cu caps may block absorption. Which makes expensive mineral poop.

Ideal forms and dosage times may be zinc methionine or the “Zinc ZMA” blend at night, while taking 2 to 4 mg of copper gluconate or bisglycinate in the morning. Or increase the consumption of organ meats such as liver, which can more safely provide up to 12mg of copper per serving.

**Avoid taking Vitamin C within a few hours of your copper dose.** It’s fine with zinc, but works against copper absorption. Vitamin C may also reduce your copper stores. If you take something with a lot of vitamin C in the morning in the form of orange juice, supplements or energy drinks, it’s seems to be just fine to take your copper mid-day during lunch.

**Zinc is essential to the olfactory system.** It catalyzes the enzyme system that controls taste and smell. In many ENT practices, a loss of smell signifies a zinc deficiency.

One of the critical functions of all animals is to eat ?to maintain adequate nutrition. Two of the mechanisms by which eating is controlled occurs in the ability to taste and to smell. One of the enzymes which is critical to maintain taste and smell function is a zinc dependent metalloenzyme called carbonic anhydrase (CA) VI. If zinc is not present in the body in adequate amounts and zinc deficiency occurs this enzyme does not function correctly and/or is not made in adequate amounts; the animal loses its ability to taste and smell. This mechanism which controls food intake causes animal death since animals no longer want to eat; they suffer from malnutrition and eventually die.

CA VI functions in the taste and smell systems as a growth factor which stimulates stem cells to induce maturation of the cells which maintain taste and smell function. But it also plays a role in programmed cell death or APOPTOSIS (see Jan 2005 What’s New). If there is too little zinc, apoptosis increases and cells die abnormally. If there is too much zinc, apoptosis also becomes altered and cells may die for several metabolic reasons. Thus, zinc, along with a host of other substances, is part of the control process by which apoptosis occurs.
**Source** : [Zinc and Cell Apoptosis](http://www.tasteandsmell.com/feb05.htm) Taste and Smell Clinic

To assess whether you’re zinc deficient, without spending big money and time on mineral chelation tests, you can perform some of the suggested “in the trenches” zinc taste tests online. [Like this one](http://www.how-to-boost-your-immune-system.com/natural-remedy-for-loss-of-taste-and-smell.html), which advises you to swish zinc in your mouth to see if you can taste it. Zinc deficient folks can swig a liquid zinc supplement without even tasting it – which means they could probably lick a penny and not taste it either. 😮

Depending on where you are in the country, you could consult a skilled nutritionist or naturopath to determine your ideal dosage and timing for zinc and copper.

Good luck!

A good way to get those precious elements into your diet and boost your hair growth/health is to make a sea salt extract and eat it. Remove the NaCl and you’ve got all those fancy elements you normally would be missing in your diet in the most absorbable form. They are at balanced minute ratios which will not lock any other nutrients out of your system.. I am actually planning a baldness remedy of my own but i reckon i can put it off for a bit. I’m going to rub salt extract into my head in a base of useful essential oils..

I can vouch for the substances regenerative properties as i ate a bunch of it 1-2 years ago and haven’t been ill since. Also my nails were growing like crazy and there are some pretty amazing claims to do with complete regrowth of hair and restoration of its original colour.

I’d really be interested in hearing about the sea salt extract process. How do you remove the sodium chloride?

you use sodium hydroxide to raise the ph to 10.8 where the ionic bond of the salt breaks and the elements fall out.. You then rinse the sediment many times… the stuff is called “ormus” and theres loadsa pseudo science mumbo jumbo around the whole subject all over the net but long story short its good stuff and supposedly you can grow a lot more than just your hair back with it.

its a pretty simple process and costs virtually nothing.. if you can read and follow instructions its easy… claims are a kitten regrew the tip of its tail back.. meh.. But the most obvious benefit is observable when fed to plants. They just fly and go super shiny. Also it can massively prolong flower blooms and a bunch of other measurable variables. I just made a bunch ate it and instantly felt more energised, it may enhance your own pheromonal activity too who knows.

Hey von\_phero, I’m really interested in that. Can you explain the process more detailed or give a link or point me in the right direction to do this myself?

Also, I’ve seen a lot said that pink Himalayan sea salt has like 82 minerals but is like 80% NaCl.. So if I did this method you’re talking about, would it essentially just leave me with all the other minerals..? Or would there still be sodium left or something..?
I don’t think Cl would be left because it’s a gas… But what about Na..?

You can’t break a sodium chloride bond just by rinsing in water. The sodium chloride would dissolve into the water, leaving sediments and deposits behind.

You can also look into Deep-sea drinking water, from 3,000 feet below the ocean off Hawaii. They sell it on Amazon, etc. Very popular in Japan.

diseases of aging are linked primarily to two things, Calcification, and Mitochondrial dysfunction. Enter Vit PQQ and Vit K2

You can only get Vit K2 from animals - primarily the organs - there is hardly any in meat. Vit K1, found in plants, primarily effects clotting, whereas K2 has a much broader array of activity and little clotting effect. K2 has the unique and essential roll of moving calcium to the places it’s supposed to go, thus preventing calcification of the hard tissues / blood vessels, and degradation of the bones and teeth.

Carlson makes a 5mg K2 MK4 (Menatetrenone) capsule. This is quite safe and gives excellent effects. You can also try eating packages of Natto (comes frozen in Asian Groceries) to get higher doses of K2 MK7 than any of the supplements will provide in the US… about 1,000 mcg of MK7 per package, while supplements only provide 90 mcg give or take. MK7 has a much longer half-life than MK4, though they are complementary.

Vit. PQQ, another overlooked vitamin. While CoQ10 optimizes mitochondrial function, PQQ activates genes that govern mitochondrial reproduction, protection, and repair.
Some of the best sources of PQQ are parsley, green tea, celery, pomegranate, Kiwi, and Natto, followed by tofu and spinach. Interestingly, coca-cola is next (secret ingredients?). I think Parsley is the highest.

that’s not what i said, re read my first post…

I’m on the move atm don’t have time to post a link but i can get it to you by the end of the week… himalyan salt works well too just yields less…
-saturate good bottled water, with high magnesium content, with sea salt
-raise ph slowly with Na HO3 to 10.8 ( i think)
-wait, let settle
-syphon of salty solution, leave deposit
-top back up with good water, let it settle and syphon off

- repeat last 2 steps atleast 4 times

you’l have a white solution left which resembles siemen

drink a teaspoon in a pint of water daily with an alkaline diet… i used to have it with porridge and tap water… drink booze at the same time and it can give u a gut ache

So here’s a quick update. I’ve been doing some extensive searching and found that vegans were reportedly higher in TEsT levels than non-vegans, yet from what I seen from tests of my own, having a vegan diet seems to require more synthetic pheros to do the same job.
I decided to try to increase TEsT naturally and it seemed to work.. After the bad results with hair, I gave it up and researched harder.

I am now at the idea that the reason my TEsT may or may have not been higher is irrelevant.
I believe by having the higher amounts of fats and cholesterol, that lead to higher [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) output regardless of TEsT levels. I read some article about cholesterol being a precursor to peroxisomes in the axillary glands and that it plays a role in pheromone production. So how much better to give yourself extra cholesterol..?

I’ve decided to take it upon myself to research this theory further. So I’ve recently incorporated some dairy and eggs into my diet, and perhaps maybe some meats. Actually just today. Perhaps in a day or two of doing this, I will test my original “sweet spots” to see if they work this time.

2 questions..

A) wouldn’t the pH go down by adding more water?
B) could you let the water evaporate to be left with a solid, so you don’t have to feel like you’re drinking ‘seimen’?

A) depends on the ph of the water you’re using to wash it with and how many times you wash it. Yes it will drop a bit but dependant on what salts you use and what water.
B) you can although i have never done it. You’ll be consuming it with water anyway so there’s no point as dosing would then become difficult. Also strange things can happen when its in powder form. All i got was a deposit on the side of the glass which was extremely hard to remove.

You might be able to solve the pH rinsing issue by using alkaline water. It is becoming more popular in grocery stores, and I know that Whole Foods carries it.

I know a lot of people would just naysay it as load of bull but hey this is a pheromone forum so you’re all a bunch of quacks anyway! I put off making this for years, i loved the hype but was pretty skeptical about it. One day my curiosity got over me so i made some, originally with himalayan salt, and ate it… my noted effects were; better sleep, improved cognition, improved energy, faster growing nails (maybe hair) slight pleasant tinesis-like experience like an aura… i made it originally for plants and the ones which received it were amazingly fast growing and yielding… Their pest resistance was amazing and they just looked shiny and great. I stopped using the extract in place of using straight good quality sea salt straight in my soil and sprayed on my plants… more elements are available to plants that way.

But, 1.5 years later, after a period of ingesting small amounts over a few months i have not been ill.. Even when getting intimate with some one who has a flu or whatever.. I’m simply made of sterner stuff.
