Thanks Marihino and looifookmeng for your replies! Its nice to know there are people ready and willing to dispense some invaluable advice.
I should share a bit more about myself and why I’m here. Not only for the chance to get a gift certificate, but moreso to let everyone know a bit more about me and my background.
I’ve been a musician for 10+ years. I grew up as possibly many of you did as one of the nerdy kids. Nerdy, but without the massive intellect for the brainier subjects. I’m 5’7, so on the shorter side. For a long time I was the “nice guy” on the dating scene. This was actually born out of being very lucky (or unlucky depending on how you view it) to have been with my very first girlfriend (and first sexual partner) for 4+ years. Great, because I got to experience a long term relationship straight off the bat. Not-so-great, because I never sowed my wild oats in my late teens/early 20’s and was therefore conditioned to be the friend/nice guy after that relationship ended. I thought the way to get a girl was to be her friend for ages and then eventually say something. It worked with my first gf, so naturally I thought this was how it was done! Not so! Not that being a friend is a bad thing, but I didn’t have the other skills to move those friendships forward to something more.
ANYHOW, after a while of getting nowhere, I stumbled upon some pick up artist material. Started reading David Deangelo, Mystery, Style, all those guys. It did a lot for me, helped me to be much more of a man. I started having varying successes with women. All the while I was still gigging in bands. Now one would think that being in bands would help on the meeting women side greatly, but clearly I was in the wrong type of bands. THEN… I joined a rock band… and low and behold, I learned the power of the rock-star status. It wasn’t even a proper rock band… it was just a rock COVER band… but still effect was the same. Suddenly, I was a very popular young man. A whole new world opened up to me and as I kept reading more and more PUA material, I learned that being on stage in front of a club full of people is a definite Display of Higher Value! Go figure huh?! I met many women, gained a tonne of confidence and swagger and did very well for myself.
This is the problem though… I’m like Clark Kent and Superman. On stage, I’m an unstoppable force. My DHV is off the charts, I tease and flirt with all the girls in the crowd, make fun of them, twirl them around, talk to them at the bar between sets, take them home, the whole shebang. I’m Superman. BUT, when I’m just me… when I’m not gigging, when I’m not on stage being the centre of attention, having higher status than all the 6foot something football players, when I’m at a bar or a party or a social gathering where I dont know anyone and they dont know me? I’m Clark Kent. While I still have retained a lot of the information I’ve soaked up over the years of reading PUA material and also having taken some of the rock-star status with me into my off stage life, I’m still just the 5’7 nerdy kid (in my mind at least).
SO… why am I here and why did I purchase my first set of mones yesterday? Whats my goal? Well, I’d like create that rock-star feeling and vibe for myself and others around me when I’m NOT gigging. I’m currently in a job that while music based, it isn’t allowing me to gig. I havent been on stage in front of a crowd for the last 3 months and I tell you I really notice the difference in myself and therefore how it effects others. I’d like to test out mones to see what it does for my off stage self confidence.
Anyways, thats my little story. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what mones may do. I understand that 90% of it is me and 10% is the mones, so I’ll also be delving deep into what it is exactly about my onstage persona that girls find so attractive and men find so cool! I’ll be sharing my results with you all in the not-to-distant future.
Thanks for reading
