Testing is all about repeatability. So anything is alright as long as you can repeat it without adding too much error into it. The dabbing thing might be a problem since it is so hard to control.
I actually like the 5 ml bottles because they are so easy to slip in my pocket. And I keep a kit of all the current molecules I’m testing. I just pull up my spreadsheet, locate the mix I want and spray into the same bottle. I’ve had one bottle going for about 3 months… I don’t know how many times I’ve refilled it.
Of course you could get a 30 mL spray bottle and mix up enough to fill that and then just pour that into a 5 ml spritzer… but I like to change things up too much and that is a lot of product to dedicate to one test mix…
Androtics has both empty 5 and 30 ml spray bottles for sale under mixing supplies.
Yes. The EST from lovescent is 1 mg/ml concentration and it comes in a 10 ml volume. That is equivalent to 150 mcg/spray if you transfer it straight to a spritzer like the 5 ml To Go’s.
So, I add 20 ml of perfumers’ alcohol to this and that gives me a final concentration of 50 mcg/spray.
If you wanted a 25 mcg/spray dilution, you would add 50 ml of perfumers’ alcohol to the 10 ml of EST instead of 20 ml.
Since the effective dosage is around 60-75 mcg/spray, you would want to dilute it to keep from wasting product.
