In my experience, existing office social structures can be intimidating experiences for new and existing employees alike.
For a new employee, it can be daunting going into a new environment where 1. everyone already knows each other and 2. you have to prove yourself not only professionally but also establish connections with your new team.
For an existing employee facing a new hire, they wonder how you will fit in, will you be an arrogant fucker or a nice guy, will you be assertive or weak, will you be great or poor at the job, are you socially attractive or unattractive etc…
Normally, A314 is the gold-standard pheromone for the workplace. I’ve used it many times on the ground and in the air with superb results. However, for a new employee, I feel it could, could get things off on the wrong foot. Imagine you are an existing employee and this new guy gets hired, you immediately sense a “high value” vibe…this guy is a professional and highly accomplished. He’s a leader, high-powered and no doubt very well-connected. You react in awe.
I believe that for new employees, building relationships with your new team, trust and generally being well-liked, is of primary importance. Your interactions improve, you do well on the job professionally and you enjoy coming in to work. Yes, A314 will mark you out as the star man, but it can cause conflict if there exist other star men in the workplace and can certainly intimidate those subordinated to you. Your own behaviour will change as you react to the behaviour of those around you. In some cases, that may not be a good thing.
I argue that MX297 is the appropriate choice for a new employee in the workplace.
Why?
-
It fosters a sense of rapport and connection with male and female colleagues alike, that subdues the extreme “high value” and potential intimidation factor of A314
-
It gives a positive vibe along the entire vertical structure (bosses / seniors like you, see you as a “real good guy”, those under you see you as someone they want to be around and learn from)
-
Preserves the “status” effect - you’re seen as someone “special and cool”, but not in an intimidating way. More like Sam L. Jackson has come into the office, rather than Jack Nicholson
-
With the right congruency (external: clothes, shoes, general appearance; internal: behaviour, speech etc..), it can take you places professionally that you’ve never been to before (attending meetings with senior staff that you otherwise wouldn’t have gone to etc..)
-
Secretaries / support staff LOVE you.
Remember, this is for new employees. For those who have worked in a place for some time and are well-ingrained into the office structure, A314 is still gold standard.
Many thanks and god bless.
