(Author’s note: I am a 24 year old Texas male, good health, decent looking and fairly outgoing. I purchased the pheromones because I wanted an edge in both the social and business realm. It has occurred to me that there are myriad complexities involved in mone usage, so I will be as scientific as possible, but keep in mind that I’m a liberal arts major, and more suited to perform an interpretive dance about the experience than a qualitative analysis of socialogical deviance.)
So I decided that since this site, and the products discussed, are in research stage, that it would be good to take notes on my experiences with pheromones. Be forewarned, you’re probably gonna have an easier time finding bacon bits in your salad than finding something revelatory here, but in the interest of progress, here we go.
The following is an ongoing account of my use of the following pheromones:
A314, Instant Shine, Turn Up The Heat, and Ammo
Thursday, 27 Aug, 2009.
I basically fooled around with the products today, just getting comfortable with them. When I opened the package, I thought the little plastic pack of red goo was part of my order, and got a little depressed about my poor decision making skills; upon opening the rest of the envelope, I breathed a little easier. IS and A314 smelled fine, although I liked A314 better. It just had a rounder body to it. A little trouble determining whether or not I had actually gotten a drop out at first, until I held it away from my finger to let one fall out onto it.
Two sprays IS 1x strength to the neck, two light drops A314 applied to inner wrists and neck, one spray Ammo to wrists.
Spraying IS gave me no immediate positve reaction, other than a slight boost in my psychology, being that I expected to be feeling good soon, so I started feeling good about that. (Author’s note: that’s not a bad idea. Maybe we could just sell scented water that makes people feel good, and then let their brains do the work for us! Somebody write that down for me.) Ammo (a free gift from AD, thank you guys) smelled like a strong cologne, which would have been fine if I hadn’t accidentally mega-sprayed my right wrist first thing. I’m pretty sure you could smell me from across the room. I tried to leave the appartment and go try the stuff out, but my roommate asked me to wait, and a lady friend we hadn’t seen in a month came by to pick something up.
No altered social effects noted; roommates responses to me were normal, as were our female guest’s. No advances, no respectful deferences, no increased warmth. Should be noted that both subjects are generally congenial, and long time acquaintances. A trip to Target with another male friend where I interacted with a female employee yeilded similar results. No increased deference, no noticeable signs of interest or arousal were registered. Might as well have been wearing cologne.
Today’s verdict: Rome was not built in a day. More testing is needed among strangers to isolate social variables. Tomorrow, I will apply more discipline in useage; just A314, two or three heavy drops, and we’ll see what it does at work, where I interact with new people as well as coworkers in close quarters.
As always, any tips, advice, pointers or insights are most welcome. Hope this bears some fruit.
Ad astra per sap,
