Hi to all, I’m most-commonly called Mickey by those who’ve known me a long time, in my early forties (but neither look, nor act, my age), and I live in central Scotland.
I’ve been aware of the existence of pheromones for years, or more-likely decades.
Nature programs casually mention them when discussing the mating habits, and whatnot, of virtually every species on the planet - except humans. It’s as-if our bodies don’t produce them, or modern man’s preference for being clean means they play no part in attracting members of the opposite sex.
I don’t believe that but, I’m also wary of the fact that the smell that goes with pheromones might be musky to the point of being unpleasant. That’s the first point that has discouraged me from trying something out. The other obvious point is I’m Scottish - we have a reputation to uphold about being careful with our money to the point of being mocked as tight-fisted. When many products are very expensive, and websites advertising them describe the supposedly active content with hand-waving gibberish, I walk on by.
A lot of this prompted me to sign up here. And, and active interest in knowing more was recently prompted through overhearing a hilarious discussion in an adult store.
Through Google, I’ve found a couple of reasonably-priced products on Amazon. (In the £10-20 range - $15-$30 for those in the U.S.) That’s reasonable enough to contemplate taking a chance on, but your average Amazon reviewer can barely string a sentence together.
So, here I am; keen to know what works, and doesn’t make you smell like a billy-goat.
I’m not ugly, I’m not overweight. I lost my virginity about 25 years ago, and am told I’m good in bed. I’m shy when it comes to first meeting someone, but once part that hurdle sociable, chatty, and get on well with people (male and female). Psychologically, knowing I was using a pheromone that has been successfully tested would probably make me cocky enough to make the first move more often; then, it’s just a matter of converting that into what most people shopping for this edge are really hoping to buy. ![]()
