A314 and moods

I have 1.32b. I’ve been using it sparingly, and I have come to some interesting conclusions.

First off, I only use this when I’m going out. At work, being Alpha isn’t important in my setting. Since my primary interest lies in dating, I’ve been hoarding my little sprayer for times when I’m likely to come in contact with potential date material. This led me to my first discovery.

I shoot pool in a local league. I’m a fair shot, nothing fantastic and I won’t be making a fortune in Vegas any time soon. However, it’s a chance to get out and have fun, maybe meet some new people. Well, at the beginning of this season I started using a spray of 1.32b to the throat area and the cologne of the day to the chest on play nights. I don’t know whether it’s the feeling of increased confidence or what, but I am now in first place for MVP in my skill level, have several 3-0 wins and got my first break and run recently. Am I a pool shark now? No, but my friends and teammates have all commented on how my game has improved.

That’s the good news. Now for the bad…

I have discovered that if I am already feeling upset or depressed, the A314 can actually make the mood worse. If I’m upset or angry, using Alpha makes me edgy and more prone to snapping at people. I seem to have lower tolerances in dealing with people. If I’m depressed, Alpha seems to give me an antsy feeling and I typically end up “giving up” on the evening and just going home. Again, these are moods that I’m already feeling before using A314. If I’m in a good or neutral mood, even if I’m rushed or tired, the A314 seems to give me a boost and I get positive responses.

I have not tried to buffer the A314 with anything. IS seems to be the best candidate, and I have that, but I wanted to get a true feel for the 1.32b without layering. I will continue using the 1.32b solo, and probably order another sprayer of it to experiment with mixing and layering.

IS is the best buffer for this but how long have you been wearing A314?

IME A314 or more generally Androstenone can encourage a serious/introspective/“cares of the world” mood when you start using it. This is particularly so with A314 and it can come as a shock to a previously highly social/carefree person.

It should settle down in a little while without steering - as you get used to the new signature and its effects on you. Took about a month in my case.
