Does ayone know if A314 has gone through any reformulations? Earlier this year I bought a replacement bottle as my original one was almost finished. The newer one had a similar, but lighter smell and was thinner in consistency. Interestingly the intimidation factor didn’t seem to be present with the newer bottle and I don’t think I’ve had a situation where I’ve been blanked and could attribute it to the A314 (something which definitely did happen with my original bottle). It seems much harder to od with it now.
I did wonder whether my original bottle had changed during the time I’d owned it, but it seemed very consistent in all respects from start to finish.
Ironically the effects are more what I was expecting from the bottle of Instant Gentleman which I bought at the same time. That one I didn’t have much success with initially, but have recently had great results combining it with Instant Shine.
Take a look at the bottom of both bottles. They should say something like, ‘A314 version 17, batch 8. Akuto’.
I think MHarris said something about wandering too far away from A314’s intended purpose. AD was trying to soften the overly harsh ‘Master and Commander’ effect and may have gone too far. Many users, myself included, find it more useful for attraction, not commanding.
The sticker came off the original bottle so i don’t know what version and batch it was. The newer one says rev 21 batch 2. I’m guessing that it being only batch 2 that it’s different from the original one I had. The question is, has it changed again since? I much prefer the second bottle - it’s far more user friendly.
I think A314 has been continuously tweaked and redesigned from the getgo. As I recall the original was 80% androstenone with 6 additional steering mones. The classic A314 was the ultimate work product and was the bee’s knees for respectful communication and command structure. I think the basic -rone ratio is about the same but newer variants have more buffers–16 or 17–that seem to mellow the effects to more gentlemanly and polite status. Not so great for work anymore unless you add a dash of NPA.
I really miss the classic A314 LS used to sell: in your face and smelled great. The newer variants don’t agree with my nose (too new age headshop).
wow didnt know there were different versions of a314. the one i have makes me easily angry and i dont take no ones shit!!! I had co workers ask me if i am ok and why I am so irritable. I would use a spray of io to calm me down. It works well together but I am now curious of the other versions.
