More than 40 Oakley volunteers showed up in force to assist at the 6th Annual Ante Up for Autism Gala benefiting Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, Calif.
“I look forward to volunteering at TACA events, especially this one,” said Oakley Claims Clerk, Becca Brummett. “It’s inspiring to see people come together to support a cause that affects so many children.”
This year’s event, hosted by actor, writer and producer Johnathon Schaech and Oakley musician, Kate Voegele was filled with unique silent and live auction items including a Rory McIlroy autographed Oakley golf polo and Ryan Sheckler autographed skateboard decks and a variety of sports memorabilia.
As the sun set over the Pacific Ocean and the Ante Up poker tournament ensued, more than 300 guests mingled, tried their hand at casino-style gaming and took advantage of the outrageous costumes in the photo booth.
The sold-out event raised more than $260,000 which will help TACA support approximately 31,000 families across the United States affected by autism…
In 2010, Oakley launched its partnership with TACA, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting families living with autism. With each purchase of TACA special edition Oakley eyewear, Oakley provides $20 to TACA in support of its mission. To date, Oakley had donated more than $300,000.
