I’m wondering why there are offering no alcoholic drinks when walking through the supermarket. Thus I have googled about “alcohol and plastic” and have found sides which disadvices to fill alcoholic Drinks into platic bottles because the alcohol (when vol>20%) do release diluents out of the plastic which is maybe a health risk. Is this fact valid for drinkable alcohol only and it is no problem if applied on skin only or are the to-go’s made with specifically plastic which can not realease this diluents.
And even there is no health risk is it possible that the plastic affects the pheromones or leads to a lower life period?
Its a health risk when ingested not when sprayed on.
Plastic is not good for food or drinkable liquid containment. You don’t need alcohol to release unhealthy compounds into the food or drink.
There are estrogens as well as other compounds in plastic and they can seep into the food or liquid when you store long term or cook in plastic.
Its tough to avoid plastics these days but a few tips.
Store all food in glass containers.
When you buy meat have the butcher in the store rewrap it in paper
Do not drink plastic bottled water. Put your filtered water in a glass or steel container.
Never ever microwave in plastic.
The pheromones are fine in plastic health wise because we wear them not ingest them. There are other issues such as leaking and quicker evap though.
Whoops forgot this part…
Yes it can lead to lower life period. Light blocking glass is the best way to store mones long term. To-go bottles are not for long term storage.

A few notes.
Our togos are made from Polypropylene (5). As far as I have learned, our containers are BPA free. PP is also 100% recyclable – specifically, 100% of the material can be recycled for future use. It’s also stable up to pretty high temperatures (160 F), so it can be dishwashed and reused without too much damage.
BPA is nasty stuff. It’s an endocrine disruptor, for one, and can mimic estrogen. This means, where one’s receptors would uptake estrogen, it’d rather uptake BPA instead. It’s found in all sorts of places it shouldn’t, like human breastmilk. WHO also notes that it can contribute to obesity and ADHD, amongst other modern world epidemics and inconveniences. The Wikipedia article is very informative: Bisphenol A - Wikipedia
You want to avoid crinkly rigid water bottles. You’ll never want to leave those in the sun – the plasticizers (like BPA) will leach into the water, and you will have a cocktail of industrial waste!
There’s a great documentary on this, available on Netflix from time to time, called Plastic Planet. Plastic Planet (2009) - IMDb
We would rather switch to a reliable source of glass for our togo line, and that’s probably in the pipeline this year. It’s been a goal of ours for a long time.
