Who is Garamon?
-D4
Garamon lives on Galactica, has never posted but has thanked my posts numerous times, apart from that, who knows.
I think that Garamon is a superhero, a mild mannered staff member during the day and an all seeing pherogod by night. Either that or he/she is painfully shy
If so, come on in and join the party, you’re more than welcome.
I have been wondering the same thing myself for a while…even thought about posting a similar thread to this one ![]()
Never posts anything but always pops up with thanks in various threads
And Garamon has just thanked your response to LTD Shred.
Garamon is one of my favorite people. ![]()
They might or might not be a super secret coworker of mine, investigating pheros for use in super secret operations. A-nol anyone?? How 'bout some b-nol?
They might or might not be zeroing in on MikotoRocks for advanced “phero” testing in a US based… camp.
They might or might not have hacked all your computers and discovered the location of the hidden rebel base.
They might or might not have replaced all your pheros with Eau de James T Kirk, the liquid squuezed from Shatner’s dandruff, lovingly collected by the gaggle of Trek fans in costume with “working communicators” and blueprints of the Enterprise.
They might or might not be one of the coolest phero people around.
They might or might not be a Cylon ready to eat us all.
They might or might not be a Cylon spiking the pheros with Chamalla, in order to get us reveal the location of the secret rebel base.
They might or might not be … anonymous.
Seriously, what’s the big deal with a thread ninja spreading some love on the boards? It’s not like they’re thanking “bad/evil” posts - only good, phero-knowledgeable ones, or fun ones.
There’s how many users on this forum? And how many of us actually post? We all get to know the “regulars” real well. Well, think of Garamon as a regular wall flower. (or that awesome parking meter fairy downtown…)

Oh for the love of Aphrodite, I cant tell you how many times I get this question LOL,
Nope not a secret agent.
Not a staff member,
Not another member with a secret repping name on the side.
Not painfully shy, as least as far as I can tell LOL.
Not a threat to anyone here. He/she is spreading thanks and love which is a good thing
Maybe He/she is a celebrity who wishes to stay anonymous. Hey you cant be to careful the Enquirer may be lurking ![]()
Ohhh Maybe its Obama on a break.
We have hundreds of lurkers who read our posts everyday and say nothing. You dont notice them because they dont thank you. Garamon chooses not to post but thanks those for posts that mean something to him or her. Nothing wrong with that.
But now is a good opportunity to say…
Thank you Garamon for all the Thank you’s you have spread. ![]()
Tisha
Hmmm … seems like someone spends a lot of quality time with the Sci Fi channel … lol. I guess other than the History Channel, not a bad place to hang out … ![]()

I actually don’t even own a TV.
Ooo, that would be awesome! Imagine how many celebrities we do get though, that obviously don’t post? Think about it, a celebrity could have been (or have) read your posts regarding pheromone advice and used it to his/her advantage. I think that’s awesome. ![]()
I have my test dummy suit on ready to go!
LOL. I never used to either. Even when I first got married the wife had a TV at her location but I never bothered. That is a family thing. Still don’t watch it much. Spend my time on this thing …
My housemate has this monstrously huge, 60+ inch LCD flat screen. It’s gorgeous… when it’s off. ![]()
My friends tell me I need to watch Big Bang Theory… but the few times I watched it, it wasn’t that funny. It was too real, too me. Apparently that was even more funny for my-so-called friends.. ![]()
I agree - my MacBook and I are quite close friends. God Bless the internet. (Thank you Al Gore.
)
Sports and movies.
Sorry. ![]()
Actually from what I’ve seen only thanks a select group of people and does so over-and-over-and-over.
That’s because you’re one of those select few people that they seem to be thanking all the time.
I’ve heard the bitching and griping, and even talked to Steve about it. But let’s get real people, does it really matter? A thank you really doesn’t do anything for you except act as maybe a bit of a pat on the back, and if your that insecure that you need those pats, or are upset because somebody else is getting them and not you, then your efforts would really be better spent looking around the self improvement forums and trying to boost your self worth and self-esteem.
Steve says that Garamon is a real person and that he’s spoken with them, and personally I could care less who they are or whether they want to thank me for anything I have to say. If they care to remain anonymous and never post that’s their right and who are any of us to question them?
But for anyone who feels the need to be thanked, chime on in and I’ll be happy to thank you. ![]()
Hehe… don’t get me wrong, Mark, I do appreciate the thanks I get from him. What’s more meaningful to me, though, is whether or not I’ve really posted something that made someone’s life even just a little better; even if only for the brief moment it took to make the necessary mouseclicks to give the thanks. I might come off as a cynical bastard sometimes, but I do like to feel warm and fuzzy every once in awhile. ![]()

Well Jon, You ain’t getting a thanks from me, I’m just gonna rep you instead! ![]()
Actually no, not really -
Do a quick search on their “posts thanked by” and you’ll see a wide range of people, men and women, who are thanked by Garamon. The most common denominator among the posts seems to be helpful, fun, friendly posts on life and pheros in general.
Frankly, I think of Garamon as a a sort of Phero Talk Tooth Fairy, whipping about with a magic wand.
I am pleased that some of my posts have made someone happy, or bought a smile, or increased their knowledge in any small way. Even if it was just to laugh at me. ![]()
(I think Garamon is #6…) ![]()
