A quick report without too much background!
Scenario: attempt to be sold membership to at a mid to high end health club. One to one, small room.
Me: slight interest (so I turned up for the appointment on invitation. Invitation only came because of some work I did, nothing to do with me being high end, because I’m definitely not, nothing to do with pheromones either as this work was before I used them
)
Salesman: very pushy. On phone wasn’t going to take “no” for an answer easily
Due to the awareness this was going to be an hour in the company of someone very pushy for something I probably couldn’t afford I used A314 for confidence. 3 drops total, 1 each side of the neck and 1 split between wrists. Unusual for my A314 use this was unbuffered.
Self-effects: I felt very mentally agile, could dissect his more dubious statements and asked questions that came from I don’t know where. I don’t think I could have been more “on the ball”. I can think of some business meetings I’ve been in where if I’d been like this my life could have turned out very different!
I had no problems at all about saying “no” - despite his pressure and constant pestering and attempts to turn me around and I didn’t even feel nervous declining. In fact, I didn’t even feel like I was under that much pressure. That’s the key to my self-effects: I felt in control when it was obvious I wasn’t supposed to.
Those who’ve read my previous posts will know I can be cautious ascribing things to pheromones so I’ll put in the “so far, so potential placebo effect” statement that applies to all of the above. Personally, I think it was part A314 but even if it was 100% placebo then A314 is still worth it in my mind for giving me that.
Effects on others: this is the interesting thing and what shows me (yet again) that this stuff works. I wasn’t dressed that smart - I was head to toe Gap. And this guy might have lost a sale because he saw me as high status. Even if all the above is placebo I don’t see how this bit was. This was my attitude and A314 combining, I’m certain. Example:
I said I wouldn’t go for the top option and asked what other options they had. He said they had other options but they “weren’t appropriate” for me. I quite possibly would have gone for one of these if offered it though. That was the phrase he kept using “not appropriate for someone like you. If I let you have that how do I convince people the top package is worth it?”
I’m willing to acknowledge maybe he was told to only sell the top packages and nothing else so this was just his spin, but I don’t think it was. Why would he show me the prices for other packages and then say he wasn’t going to offer them?
