So I decided to use some est and instant honesty (mega-dose)

3 sprays of EST @ 50mcg
4 sprays of IH 2X
7 sprays of p104 @ 12.5mcg

Self effects: Felt really calm, and quiet in a good way, I felt like I was meditating or kept thinking about something to make myself busy. It was interesting, I didn’t feel bored (which is interesting also)

So I go to the subway, there’s this sweet-looking bohemian-ish lady with a kid (she looked rather homeless), so I offered her some change, since I felt kinda sorry for her and that’s all I could do.

So after I offered her some change, she asked me if I would like a tarot card reading in return and I was like no-no it’s okay and everything, but she still insisted with a big smile. So I was like what-the-hell, what do I have to lose! and sat in a near-by bench with the kid staring at me like crazy. The kid was calm while his mom was shuffling the cards and looked at me with awe it was kind of funny! Though I did feel a bit awkward and tried to wink it off lol and the kid sat closer to me, it was pretty cute.

So anyways, she gets the cards ready, and asks me if I wanted a love reading, so I was like do whatever you feel like, and she keeps shuffling…I miss my train cause she wouldn’t let me leave. She kept insisting me to stay there and listen to her tarot reading, cause she really wanted to do something in return for the change I gave her.

OKAY.

So she places all these cards and starts reading them…and it’s quite creepy on how she was pretty accurate about my current life and really specific about certain parts of what will happen in the future, and she kept telling me stuff like, I’m going to fall in love with 2 men at the same time and get confused as hell…anyways, basically things, that I did not want to hear.

Shit, I get confused and stuck as hell when I’m shopping for pheromones.

So I started getting a bit freaked out, cause she was starting to tell how she says always happens, and no one and not even me can change my destiny. And talks for another 1/2 hr about her life and how she asks the spirit about the future and stuff. Mostly personal things.

And then the train comes again, she wouldn’t let me leave by talking and I just had to say, I have class in 10 mins, I have to go but I hope you have a good day kind of thing.

And as I walked away, to the train, she started yelling “HEY YOU! WHAT I’M TELLING YOU IS THE TRUTH, YOU WILL HURT A MAN FROM YOUR DECISION MAKING!”

deep breath, that made my morning great…so I didn’t really observe anything else that happened around me except for this one dude kept turning back and staring at me until I asked him if he needed something, lol.

So yea that’s about it…meh slouches

I can’t say whether I believe she was right or full of it…maybe she does have a gift, maybe not…

I reckon take it with a pinch of salt…and I also don’t think you can avoid hurting people’s feelings in life no matter how hard you try…as long as you’re not hurting someone intentionally there really isn’t any more you can do :roll_eyes:

I was talking to Bella recently about fate and destiny and all that. I don’t really believe in fate. You create your fate. Nothing and no-one else will.

Most fortune tellers are skilled at making ambiguous statements that appear to be mind-blowingly accurate and yet vague enough to be left wide open to various interpretations. A passing knowledge of body language, social norms and a sharp eye for facial expressions will do the rest.

Maybe they have a gift. Maybe not. If they have one, I’ll happily eat my boots. But they’ll have to be specific. Give me names, give me dates, give me locations. Narrow each prediction down to a specific point in the space-time continuum. Otherwise, I’m not interested.

I certainly don’t believe this. I believe that at any point in time, yes, there is a path your life will definitely take if no changes are made, but changes are being made ALL THE TIME. You make choices every second of the day that affect where your life is going. So no, don’t listen to this woman. Or at least, I wouldn’t listen to her.

This statement is akin to saying “at some point in the future, you will meet someone who will change your life!” Well, duh, those things are going to happen. It’s just life.

I’m not saying “duh” to you, selva, I just get irked by fortune tellers who try to hoodwink people by doling out vague statements. Or maybe she was just sorta crazy, who knows.

I have only ever met one person who ever gave me information that lead me to believe he had “the gift”. He deals in specifics, not broad statements that can apply to anyone and any situation. Just one. If you wanted a better reading, I could give you his name (he does readings over the phone. No, he’s not an affiliate of Miss Cleo :wink:), but he’s kinda pricey. He would enjoy hearing your story, too.

(Oh! And that reminds me! He is the one who inadvertently directed me to the use of pheromones as he makes “love oils” that contain copulins. I started searching on this term and ended up here via LS.)

Anybody can read tarot cards. It’s not hard. Reading and interpreting the cards in a way that delivers specific information about you is incredibly rare.

I know, she was all specific about the year and everything, she was like talking about a failed relationship, and in 2014 in january or feb this shit is going to happen, that is going to happen. Hell, she even told me that his name started with a BA- and his name apparently means strength/the sun..etc. She told me what he looked like physically. Yep, I didn’t know fortune tellers could tell how someone could look like without knowing them if you know what I mean. And she was telling me on how I would make the wrong decision and choose the wrong dude, and how in the end, I’ll choose the right dude in 2014…oh man…It was crazy and a bit disturbing! after hearing those details, you end up thinking…holy crap! lol! And then she went on about how destiny chooses your soulmate and you can’t avoid it and shnitz like that…oh man… oh man! It was a long talk!

If this woman can see into the future, how come she is so down on her luck that she appears homeless? Oh yeah, she explained that: What she says always happens and nobody can change their destiny. That is the flaw in her logic. People have free will and people do change things. The literature on precognition is filled with examples where people foresee accidents and stuff that they are able to avoid. When she tells you that you cannot change these things she is creating a self-fulfilling profacy. One could even say that she is putting curse on you. Though there could be some unconscious envy motivating her, I do not believe that she is being intentionally malicious. Her own unfortunate condition indicates that she herself actually beleives that destiny cannot be changed.

She told you that you will win the love of more than one man and that you will eventually wind up with the right one. There is some pretty good shit in what she predicted for you! Given this woman’s own circumstances, it is uderstandable that she would spin it to emphasize the negative. This proneness to emphasize the negative is both the cause and effect of her own misfortune. It is understandable that she would identify with the man you are predicted to hurt – she herself is hurting. By saving this man she identifys with she is symbolically saving herself. That is why she is so persistant and won’t let you go. There is good reason to believe that this man – if he is to exist – will be better balanced than this homeless, fortune-telling lady and will recover well. It is up to you to see the positive and give it an optimistic spin.

Furthermore, you deserve the positive aspects of her predictions as well as the knowledge and wisdom you are receiving as you ponder the meaning of the entire encounter with this mysterious woman and child. You helped somebody you believed to be in need and she was obviously trying to do you something good in return. Allow this to become a blessing.

P.S. There is still more meaning to be found from the kid, who you barely discuss, but who obviously affected you.

Well, when I said this guy I know can give specifics, I meant about current and/or past events, things that can be verified immediately. Anyone can come up with some specifics about something that’s going to happen five years from now! :stuck_out_tongue: They’re long gone, and unavailable for comment when what they’ve said proves to be untrue!

And I wasn’t trying to push you to see him, just thought I’d mention it if you wanted another opinion on what you had heard. Honestly, though, I don’t think you need it. I think you can comfortably dismiss the things she said. :wink:

I agree with MuskCloud. Fortune tellers are good in making general statements which one will subconciously interpret to one’s experienced.

Hi everyone, know I’m new but I do read tarot cards and would like to give my 2 cents. First of all Tarot are like a roadmap. According to the path you are on now the following is what will happen, but you are driving. Tarot cannot read 5 years into the future, 6 month to 1 year at most. The reason is see if you can follow me here. Lets say your reading says you will meet a new guy and be confused about your relationship (ok that’s freaking generic, welcome to shot night out with the girls) anyways. Let’s say you all of a sudden decide, I’m staying home and not going out, your path has changed.

Telling traits, well some people can but letters and names, that’s premonitions and not tarot. Telling someone 5 years from now you will be stuck choosing between 2 guys and will choose the wrong one, there are too many turns that can change that course. I am able to give accurate readings but I always let people know, this is a map on where you are at now and where you will end up if you stay on this path. You can always turn a different way and completely change things.

Now I do have a friend that doesn’t do tarot but can read past, present and future. He says the problem with that is he cannot tell if what he sees is past, present or future, they don’t come with time stamps. Some people are legit but there are so so many fakes.

Telling you something is set in stone, well there are cases where that happens but it’s not rocket science. But remember there is always the wild card for example you pack your stuff up and take a plane to france for 2 years just cause. If it is set in stone, it’s something that will happen soon and it’s usually something in your head you know but you try to ignore and it happens. Like knowing your lover is cheating and ignoring and ignoring and getting a tarot reading saying you will confirm your lover is cheating on you. It is knowing in your head you are losing your job and the tarot point it out. In the scientific realm of it, it is you transfering energy to the cards to come up with answers. Tarot also has to do with the accuracy of the reader. If the individual who is reading for you is so caught up in their own drama it is highly likely their reading is them and not you. I also hate to point out that the person reading cards for you influences them, so someone who is bitter and angry all the time is likely to read the cards as everything that happens will be negative.

I just wanted to add my point. I also wanted to add I went to a “psychic” who told me there was a tall dark man with dark hair that is leading me off my course. I worked in an office of over 350 people and with so many sales people, talk about general. That’s crap.

Also, as much as I do believe there are people who can read and such. The pessimistic part of me from the city thinks keeping you on the train longer gives her the chance to somehow make you feel like you should give her more money because she’s performed a service for you.

Just my 2 cents.

Please don’t let that woman get you down. I know this happened months ago but lets just say that I know from personal experience how often these people use our fears against us.

While I’ve had experiences with people who are truly gifted and can give names, dates, ect. they are few and far between. Most are in it for the money and for the power trip they get. Most ‘professional’ psychics and mediums have the biggest egos around. It is about them and not helping others.

By the same token, most ‘skeptics’ are only interested in things that conform to their current belief system of how it ‘should’ be instead of investigating how it really is.

Just live your life and know you are doing what you feel is right. That is the best any of us can do.

As you probably know I am very familiar with tarot cards and how to read and interpret them. They can be very accurate but one thing she did tell you that wasn’t correct… that there is nothing you can do to change it.

Hun the future is not written in stone. The card tell of the possibilities and probabilities if you follow the path you are currently taking and yes when your aware of those paths you can change your course.

In tarot there is only past present and future influences. The past that influences your decisions now. The present and that which is passing. The possible future if the present course is followed. There is no time frame.

Don’t be sad or afraid its gonna be ok. You choose your destiny. Tarot just helps point your to the path you should take.

I use them all the time and have since I was a child. :wink:
