Any health complications from short or long term pheromone use?

I was just curious about this one. Everything fun in this world almost always has some kind of downside to it. So there must some kind of health consequence. No way that pheromones could be this much fun without some kind of health risk.

i have only been using for a year.

my health experiences are that wearing excessive amounts do affect my hormones, and i often “burn out” because i refuse to acknowledge my limits.

i wouldnt be wearing them around my children (non-intimidating ones of course) if i thought there were health risks.

There are studies that relate pheromone exposures to changes in hormones production (for example Androstenone-Testosterone). Although I don’t know if these changes are significantly harmfull, specially taking in count we only breathe them…

Pheraoh, read this post that discuss the same.

Long term health effects of pheromones? - #3 by tacitus

Anyway it would be interesting to know if there are some recent discoveries in this topic. Anybody?

Yeah, as I recall a recent study at the University of Washington Medical School demonstrated males experienced difficulty with erections after long term exposure to high levels of androstenol and couplins. Apparently they grew so accustomed to these pheromones women were not enticing enough. Sort of a slow chemical castration…

Hahahaha, it’s the worst information you could give us… We’ll have to add a blu’ lil’ pil’ to our pheromone mix in a few years…

Well, I think it’s akin to killing yourself by drinking too much water. Sure, it’s possible, but only a select few are dumb enough to drink that much.

I so strongly prefer the non-intimidating children to the monstrously fear-inspiring children. And I’m glad the Chuckie films are over with, too.

The pheros may be synthesized, but that does not mean they have to be toxic…

heh heh heh

i think sometimes if i had a fear-inspiring child then i would have only one instead of two…
but they change into fear-inspiring once they are old enough to drive

my instinct tells me synthetic pheromones are harmless (but like geogi says too much water can be harmful..) and with the exception of using too much and getting PO’d, its all been fun.

of course Tacitus’ posts make me want to bathe in the stuff…:stuck_out_tongue:

haven’t noticed anything in myself, other than routine pheromone burnout… if I use them too much I do become indifferent, so there appears to be a self calibration process, have concluded that the best results are from intermittant use… other than that over the last decade I have no overt physiologic symptoms or changes, nothing we can see in blood testing for natural androgen/estrogen production (I get tested for a variety of hormones and by-products, like “upstream” pregnenolone, “midstream” DHEA, “downstream” DHT, testosterone, and estrogen load)… more to the point, my PSA (prostate marker) is remarkably low, in the zero risk category… and one of the big concerns with irresponsible steroid abuse is PSA values spike… at least in my case, pheromones are demonstrating no impact on prostate volume or PSA values, even esoteric markers like SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) which respond to excess hormone by the body pumping out more SHBG to control blood hormone levels, show no meaningful activity… No thyroid changes, no inflammation markers like TNF-a, or Interleukins show activity, no C reactive protein… no elevated liver enzymes…

If the pheromones are doing anything at the body chemistry level we can’t find it in me. And we’re making a serious effort to find anything out of normal ranges…

here’s their testing page.. they have a ton of tests if you flip through the pages…
