I’ve read that pheremones can be destroyed at certain temperatures which makes me worried to leave them in a car on a sunny day. How hot are we talking about before they get destroyed?
in bout 80 degrees farenhait
No it is like almost 80 at my house, so all my products would be useless…
It is at least 100F, probably higher. And just keep it out of the sun or it can lose power even at lower temperature ![]()
at EXTREME high temperature the molecules will probably break down.
Where exactly do you get your answers from. ![]()
No prolonged Temps of between 110 ans 120 Fahrenheit will begin to effect your pheromones. Total breakdown is closer to boiling point.
They can be damaged more by sunlight. Cars can easily get to hot for them do not store them there for long periods. A cool dark non humid environment is best.

Tisha, if u order a bottle of pheromone and It stays in your mailbox for 6 hours in 85 degree farenhait. But not under direct sun, do u think its gone bad already?
No not at 85 degree’s It would have to be well over 100 degree’s in there. You would also need to leave them alot longer for it to begin to effect them. Its really not the heat as much as it is the UV rays of the sun shining on the bottle that can hurt them especially to-go bottles which are not colored to deflect the sun. I still wouldn’t suggest leaving them in extreme warm environments without taking some precautions they are rather expensive and even though it may not break thm down totally we dont want to lessen any of the effects if possible.
Tisha
Treat pheromones like you would an expensive fragrance. Keep them out of extreme heat and direct sunlight. Normal shipping heat won’t hurt them, and at any rate some heat is inevitable in shipping.
Ah dunno but when it’s extra hot 'n humid I gotta reapply more often. Probably the bacteria action accelerates as well as sweat rinsing it off.
An alcohol based pheromone product in the car on a hot summer day is bound to at least suffer evaporation. Sheesh, it can easily hit a 120 F or more in there.
I sent a question to a manufacturer (La Croi) and they said ~140F (60C, 330K) is where destruction starts.
That real good info here, and probably most pheromones product will be around the same temperature. Thx! So definitly keep your bottles out of a parked car ![]()
I accidently left the purple bottles of Instant Honesty and Instant Female Magic in the car’s cup holder overnight. They were there from sunrise to 1PM the next day which was sunny. They were very hot to the touch by time I got to them, probably well over 120 degrees.
Good news! They still work! ![]()
Jedi night how do u know they still work? They are not some electric radio that u can see they still work my man.
Lol i am sorry but i am a bet drunk, Will the pheromones still work after you have put them in you freezer? heheh I have not done that, just a question ![]()
Because when I stopped using them for my P93 adventure, it was obvious from the differences of responses. Then when I went back using them, responses were back to normal as when I was using them before the heat incident. ![]()
If a manufacturer says it starts to deconstruct at 140 - it still will take time do decompose completely. A few hours at 120 evidently is not enough of an excursion to make a significant difference. 200 degress for 5 hours might be a different story.
In any case, I don’t plan to do that again. I ordered a couple of pipettes and some 5ml to-go bottles from the mixing supplies at Smartmones. I fill the little bottles from the big ones. That way I can carry them in my shirt pocket and have some at work instead of forgeting them in the cars’ cupholder.
Whoops, my togo bottles are in the armrest holder in my car. or they were for about 3 weeks, until the ammo bottle got free of the rubber band keeping them upright and leaked. My car has “ode to ammo” smell.
yes it was over 95*F during the day for 1 of those 3 weeks and very hot in the car as it was parked in the sun most of the day.
granted the windows are tinted 35%, and the windows were open ~1-2".
they still seem to work.
