Atm Security

Just in case there’s some truth to this …

PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.

The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

This information was recently broadcasted on FOX TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don’t know it exists.

nope, this was just an idea, doesn’t exist

You can search “reversed pin atm” in google and you will find that it is not true, just a random story

Probably wouldn’t matter anyway. Once you enter the pin you’re gonna have the money in like 5 seconds anyway…At which point the robbers gonna take it and run. Unless a cop was literraly right there, they would never make it there in time to do anything anyway.

And, while you were standing around wating on the Police to show up, you’re signaling to the next robber that you got money in the bank and an atm card on you. :open_mouth:

Glad I typed “JUST IN CASE”

Sowwy!

DOn’t worry m&m  interesting find anyways!

Plus what if your pin number was 2112 or something? The cops would be called every time you made a transaction.

Smartypants!

What Mark said is the truth. To fix all problems … put all ATMs near police stations.
