So I’ve been using Essence of Woman for a couple months now…but I’m having issues with my application location.
I live in a dorm with a bunch of females.
We have this really creepy old janitor lady who comes in every morning around the time I apply it.
She has these crazy senses. I know the moment she arrives on the floor because she’ll start "whew"ing and obnoxiously making gagging noises.
She’d walk by me over and over again sniffing like some kind of hound dog around the hall. I asked her if it was me, but she said no, and that I smelled nice (I was wearing a LOT of perfume).
In the beginning, I thought it was because I was using too much in the to-go bottles, because I’d spray it and (I’m not kidding) the moment I sprayed it, halfway down the hallway she started huffing and puffing. The mixed perfume +EoW/ Bubblegum cops sprays didn’t seem to work…many people noticed the smell.
So, I’ve been experimenting for the past few weeks.
I changed it up to where I only share one drop to the inside of my elbows, covered with body lotion and LOTS of perfume.
I’m guessing no one can really pinpoint it on my body, but they can smell it wafting around the halls after I apply?
Not sure.
I’m just not sure what to do. My first class is at 9…I usually wake up around 8…but if I wait to apply it until I walk out the door around 8:50, people at class will probably notice the smell.
Is there anything out there that can REALLY cover it upon initial application?
I’m not too good at EOW myself, but I believe you’re supposed to wait and let it dry down at least 20 min or so. Let me know if you have any luck with anything.
I heard great things about mixing a few drops into a scented bodylotion! Try a gourmand scent like vanilla, just squirt the amount you want to use in your hand, add some drops of EOW, mix in your hand and apply where you like. I didn’t use EOW for a long time but I remember this worked quite good!

Sillykitty brought up a great point. Are you waiting long enough for dry down ? 15 minutes then cover.
EOW smells funky in the bottle and usually in those first 10 to 15 minutes of application but to tell you the truth I have never had trouble with people noticing the smell. I notice it but no one else does and that is pretty much how all pheromones work.
I have worn EOW both covered and uncovered and had people stick there nose right up to my application point and they dont notice a funky smell. Its weird because I smell it. I use 10 to 15 drops at times. You will get the hang of it though. It does take some practice finding the best application points and methods for you.
Other things to consider that may help…
Did you spill any anywhere ? If you did use fabreeze to clean it up. The enzymes in it eat odors.
Did it get on your cloths before dry down ? They have detergent with fabreeze in it now or you can just squirt some on the spot. Test for color safeness first though.
Did you rub it in with your fingers then not wash your hands good ?
If its just this one person who is noticing she could be what they call a super smeller. MHarris has spoken about these people in the forum. They are rare but they are highly sensitive to scent. Any scent so they tend to notice.
You mentioned that you asked her if the smell was from you and she said no so your safe there. I suggest stopping down at a kitchen store and getting a inexpensive metal airtight container you can fit your stinky mones in. You can smell it easier in the air from the bottle even with the bottle closed and in your underwear draw LOL. I know its really weird to be able to notice it this way better then when wearing it. I cant tell you why that is. I used to keep mine in the closet in a ziplock bag with a dryer sheet before I bought the airtight container and my son would complain about my stinky closet. After I got the container that stopped.
