So my father is coming to visit me from overseas. I’m 28. My father and I have some awkward tension that feels weird and conversation feels forced. He is a quiet man that doesn’t put in the effort to initiate small talk or to break the ice.
I’m wondering what mones you guys would recommend to enhance the atmosphere between us?
I read a314 or IS? What would be the ideal family / father and son mix? Thanks in advance!
IO, IS and IH. Loootss of um, but particularly IO and IH. IO is the ‘icebreaker’ and IH allows rapport to be tapped. IS will brighten the direction of the conversations.

However I tend to agree that on a basic level, socials would be the way to go. IS and maybe IH around you family.
A314 may be good for status but its downside is that it could also alienate or otherwise make your fther feel threatened by your presence and some people can also ake its status as a remote or standoffish vibe. I probably wouldn’t use that at a sensitive family gathering unless I was wanting and willing to deal with confrontation.
What’s good for bonding with the fiances family?
