Body hair?

Other than the obvious visual aesthetics of the thing, I know that body hair on men mainly serves two purposes, as protection from the elements back when it was a much more important problem and to concentrate secretions like cooling sweat and spread the body’s pheromones outward. There’s probably something else obvious I’m missing as well.

What is the purpose of body hair on women, and other than aesthetically what purpose does removing women’s body hair serve? Is it similar to body hair on men? Besides the obvious “to make money promoting and selling their products,” is it the beauty industry (intentionally?) reducing or removing women’s natural ability to produce and spread mones to give men (especially beta men) a “more level playing field” vis-a-vis sexual attraction?

I’d say that most body hair (other than on the head) serves little biological purposes and is on its way out in so far as sexual selection is still operative.

Pubic hair does help spread pheromones as does armpit hair but the latter’s cooling function is very limited. Clothing reduces both effects.

The beauty industry is only trying to make a profit. They will produce and distribute only what the customers will pay for. Deep thinkers they are not.
