Can heat cause mones to decompose?

Hi Guys.

I didn’t have much room in my pant pockets today, so I left my to-go bottles of Ammo, IS, and IH in the glove box of my car. The sun decided to make a surprise appearance and heat things up (it has been cloudy and cold for the past few days). When I got back to my car, it was rather warm in the cabin. I took my bottles out of the glove box, and I found that all of them were foggy inside.

Can the active ingredients undergo decomposition in the presence of high heat? Should I be worried that my pheros will lose their effectiveness?

From what I remember, heat can affect some of the scent components but for the pheros themselves no. It needs to get very, very hot for that to happen.

There have been countless threads on this topic (even threads with the exact same scenario as yours). The short answer? No, you would need temperature of 130 or 140 degrees plus to that to happen. Sunlight on the other hand, is detrimental, but since you left it inside the glove box then that shouldn’t be a problem.

+130℉? That’s not very much, a car in hot sunlight can easily get to that.

Do not leave your mones in the car in the summer. Heat of 140 degrees will ruin them but they start breaking down before that the longer they sit in the heat. Believe me I have ruined the potency of more bottles this way.

A cool dark place is where you should keep them.

That being said, How hot did the temp get outside of the car on those days and how long did you leave them there ?

I’ve only left them there once, and the outside temperature was in the mid 80s. I left them there for around five hours. It was cloudy and cold when I left my car, however.

Wait, I’m not exactly sure what you mean. Are you implying 85 degrees is cold? Anyway, 5 hours isn’t really long enough to decompose mones. I left a bottle of IShine in my car for a whole day (thats 24 hours ) and I still got hits from it. That being said, all mones are different so some may be more unstable than others.

5 hours in 85 degree heat is not to bad. I wouldnt worry about it. If it were up in the 90’s in the beating sun for a few days then you would have a problem but thats not long enough or hot enough to cause damage.

No, It was only about 68 F when I left the car that morning. The weather forecasters had predicted rain for the entire day. It became much hotter once the sun came out about an hour later. 86 F was the high temperature for that day.

Thanks for all of your responses guys. From what you said, I don’t think I should worry.
