Can you reuse used ToGo Bottles?

Maybe it’s a silly question, but maybe its just sillier for me not to ask.
I have some supplies on order, and purchased atomizers from Sephora.
But I am about to go through some of my original ToGo bottle orders and will have some empty bottles. Can you reuse these?

Thanks in advance!

I’ve read many times, that its’ done. That’s one reason I’ll won’t throw any of mind anway. Just in case, I want to downsize from a 30 mil bottle.

that is a great question…I have reused to go bottles a few times…I still seem to get hits regardless …but I am now curious too…thanks for asking

I run hot water run through it a couple of times, dishwasher soap, clean it out with hot water, then alcohol, then water a few more times. Spraying everything out and refilling.

Thanks mang!
I’ll definitely try this.

Really, the hot water isn’t the only way to go. I take it a step further and rinse them out with rubbing alcohol after washing them like that. Let dry thoroughly before making your composites or whatever..

No problem with reusing them IME.

Put a bit of tape round the screwtop tho, without the label, they can unscrew and leak in your pocket.

Skip the soap/detergent. It’s is impossible to rinse it out completely.

I clean mine out with grain alcohol (190 proof Everclear). Just fill it up and let it soak a few days. Be sure to pump some into the atomizer.

You can also clean it out with your favorite after shave or cologne. Just let it soak a few days and pour it back into the bottle. Let the to-go dry out and fill with new mones.

Don’t use detergent.

Alcohol is a good way to clean them as is hydrogen peroxide.

If you want to eliminate the smell in the bottle though you want to soak them. I normally clean w/ hot water a couple times then fill up about 1/3 with peroxide and put the atomizer back on… swirl around vigorously and then spray the peroxide through the atomizer then do the same with hot water again

normally does the trick

I usually refill empty togos with my own mixes or fill them up form 30ml bottles …

and before i clean them with alcohol .

some of the togos have a longer life and other ones a shorter one

some begin to leak where the spray head is installed or the pump stops working correctly.

But this happens only after several “turns”

in my opinion would it be a waste not to use the emptened togos for further use !

I’ve reused Togos for years when in a pinch. They are okay for light duty but are much more prone to leaking than the Sephora atomizers. Also, the Sephora impart a fine mist whereas the togos kinda puke on ya with a mightly blast.

Of course you can reuse them. As long as you still have the cap. That’s important because evaporation will occur without it especially this time of year. If you lost the cap or its no good chuck it.

I dont use alcohol because thats what they suspend the pheromone in. I use something astringent like peroxide or witch hazel.

I was thinking of getting one do the sprays match to get the right dosage?

I agree with you Mustang - seriously good point: for research sake its best to use the same bottles/atomizers as long as you know you can properly wash them out.

We do also have them available for you just in case you are worried about washing them out and contaminating with soap or even making sure you know the output is what you are used to. We do a lot of research on buying the products we use, so you know you are getting the best possible tools. The alcohol wash seems like a good idea if you have the right type of alcohol. (nothing worse than brandy all over a white shirt)

Here’s the empty To-Gos we sell:
Empty 5mL To-Go bottle :: Mixing Supplies :: Androtics Direct

And in the same category are also pipettes and other fun mad scientist tools.

PS: In fact, its advisable NOT to use soap, as it can easily contaminate the product despite rinsing.

Thx for all of the suggestions guys.
I do have some togos on order, and bought some atomizers from Sephora, but was going to mix up a variety colognes with my a-1 and npa, so I figured I’d ask…not to mention it’s the “green” thing to do.
