Went to play poker with some of the guys tonight, knowing that a girl or two might be there. Sorta decided to sit this one out, since I have a bigger one tomorrow that I want to keep my bankroll saved for.
I decided to go anyways, just to hang out. So, a seat was open and I sat down. After about five minutes, one of the people I always knew and was ‘acquaintances’ with started talking to me casually, like he would a friend. -He- initiated the conversation out of nowhere, which sort of surprised me. Could easily have been the pheros.
A few minutes later, some guys were playing ping pong behind where I was sitting. One of the two hit a ball past where I was sitting, and I offered to get up and fetch it for them. As I was starting to sit up, one of the player told me “Nah, sit back and relax, Drew” and got it himself, patting me on the shoulder. Could have been the friendship, again, or it could have been the pheros talking.
At one point in the night, I made an quick reference to a poker movie as a joke, which one of the people sitting next to me cracked up at. We talked about the movie and how much we loved it together for about 5 minutes, and the conversation moved on.
Just some observations I figured would be worth sharing =]
Though it may sound odd considering I play poker, i’m in a bit of a financial bind at the moment. I only get 8-10 hours a week at my minimum-wage cashier job. This funds my poker bankroll, which I use to boost my income if things go well.
I could go on about my financial situation, but long story short, I’m not in the position where I can spend $70 on a pheromone. Not saying it’s overpriced by any means, it’s just slightly beyond my reach until I get some more hours at work, which should come soon hopefully. For now, my phero-budget limits me to a few MXs or Experimones that I can now test as a reporter.
