Thanks to all my readers, This is not the 7th most read journal on PheroTalk in the Mens Section.
Continuing my discussion about dupe scents versus authentic retail parfum, the major thing is the actual scent longevity as well as purity of the trueness of the scent.
Some synthetic components will smell metallic over time, and this is what happens to a lot of cheap scents.
Here is my overall thoughts of these scents from The Common scent LLC:
Tobacco vanille real and clone Tom Ford - The real is much stronger and much more vanille than the clone, however the clone had roughly the same silage time as the authentic but the notes after 10 hours were a bit more muggled than the tom ford.
black code by armani - It is scary how close this is to the real thing, but it smells much better on me than the real thing, so this is a keeper for me.
green irish tweed clone - real does not do it for me, the real smelt too much like pine for me, the clone is a bit sweeter smelling and now at at 2 hours after application I have a spread of about 7 foot where it smells like this scent, and at 4 inches above application point it is a sweet smelling fragrance. Slightly more floral and a bit more aquatic… smells like fresh sweet water, slight soap, like clean fresh linen wrapped man, the man part I assume is from me, but woof, this I feel is a sexy scent and will be putting it through the ropes.
red for men by GBH (discontinued) clone - Spicy is what this is, I believe it was in the old spaceland togo lol so there is a slight hint of cleary sage for about a minute then it quickly fades away. Nice unique scent regardless, date mix all the way
The one by D&G clone - This is a sweet scent, and turns quite nice on me within minutes once the head cords die down and the heart cords come out. I feel on the top end they went light on the grapefruit as opposed to the real thing and more mellow and in sync with the corrander and the basil. Now this scent really comes into it’s own when the heart cord comes out. the light orange blossom(neroli) ginger and cardamon, the ginger is light heavy cardamon but it is sooo nice, the heart cord mixes so well with the body cord that it is quite heavenly, they mingle and when the base cord finally comes into full bloom it is magical, the cedar ambergris and hint of tobacco perhaps in this clone they used a hint of clove… it just fits very well
Acqua Di gio clone - Yet to try, smells close to the authentic but since they are going to reformulate I wanted to find something close to stock up on. Will report back asap
Great reviews! Thanks for sharing those. I’m always looking for (cheap) new scents to try. ![]()
I know snoopy, I love scents, I have enough to use a different scent day and night for two weeks solid without using the same one LOL.
But these are sooo cheap, so if you find something you like… it is so worth it getting them and reducing down to 20% with some PA and bam 1 ounce of oil makes 6 ounces
For Novices:
The differences are simply a matter of the amount or concentration of oils in the fragrance. The highest concentration is in pure perfume (or parfum). Next would be Eau de Parfum, then Eau de Toilette, and finally Eau de Cologne. Some manufacturers make a solid perfume, solid perfume is as strong as a pure perfume however it is in a gel-like consistency.
Eau De Toilette and Eau De Cologne are generally interchangeable, especially in Men’s fragrances. After Shave has the least amount of oils. The higher the concentration the longer your fragrance will last, and the less you need to apply.
Perfume (also known as extract or extrait), is the purest, smoothest and roundest of all the concentrations of fragrance and the most expensive by far. It contains 20 to 40 per cent of fragrance oils held in alcohol, a much higher concentration than in other types of fragrance. Fifty per cent of the fragrance is formulated with the long-lasting base notes. Perfume is generally dabbed onto the skin rather than sprayed on.
Eau de parfum is the most popular kind of fragrance and contains seven to 14 per cent fragrance oils. Around 70 per cent of an eau de parfum is lost after several hours but that 30 per cent will remain 24 hours later. If you want a scent that will last and isn’t too expensive, buy this kind of formulation. Apply your scent of choice to the places where the skin is the warmest - the wrists, collarbone, between the breasts, in the crook of the elbows, behind your knees, on your inner thighs, and around the ankles.
Eau de toilette contains one to three per cent fragrance oils, of which 80 per cent will evaporate within three hours. ‘Many women buy eau de toilette expecting it to last all day, but eau de toilette (or toilet water, as it’s historically known) was originally created to be splashed all over the body to refresh and wake you up instantly,’ says Roja Dove, a perfume expert. Dove advises against spraying eau de toilette on your pulse points - instead he suggests spritzing some onto your hairbrush and running the brush through your hair for a more lasting effect.
Eau de cologne, the first type of commonly used fragrance that was popularised by Napoleon, is rarely made any more and doesn’t have the same structure as classic French perfume. However, eau fraiche, which was created by Christian Dior with its classic men’s scent Eau Sauvage, is similar to an eau de cologne but lasts like a very concentrated eau de toilette. Contemporary eau fraiche scents may have the words ‘O de’ in front of the name, for example ‘O de Lancôme’.
Scented body creams contain around eight per cent aromatic oils, and lotions have three to five per cent. Because of their thick cream or lotion base, the scent will linger all over in its more concentrated form for several hours and can still be smelled faintly on the body up to 24 hours later.
That was quite informative! Hmm. It’s definately a science. Lol! For enthusiasts, that’s going to come in handy. I just like to smell nice though, heh! But I shall refer back to this if I ever find myself wanting to take it a step further myself! ![]()

Very cool. I can’t wait to read how it works for you!
Wow, that’s some cool and smelly math. Did you figure it all out yourself? I’d like to see more information like this!!!
Hi Dj, the calculation you printed above says that you need 4182 sprays to match that dose?? ![]()
I put your numbers and I got the required number of sprays as 21. It’s still an awful lot number of sprays, but since some of your pheromones are available at very low concentrations, it’s unavoidable.![]()

OK, enough screwing around already.
I’ve spent 3 hours on the calc and decided since my TAF + TAK are so low mcg it would take 20sprays or 2.5ml of each on me to equate what 4 sprays would do soooo
I decided to do this with my mcg concentrations of what I have I mixed this:
Taa .6ml @20mcg/spray
Bnol .375ml @40mcg/spray
p93 1.8ml @5mcg/spray
p74 1.5ml @10mcg/spray
Now for the original icm-1B mix it sould only take 2sprays of my mix to equal 1 of the formula
So I would wear 8 sprays of my mix and then Add 60mcg of P83 for the velcro effect that myself as well as snoopy likes.
I believe P96 @60mcg and meo-est at 150mcg would make this one hell of a date seduction mix…
But I am going to try to go out dancing tonight and see what happens, I will be drinking water so as to not 1. Spend money, and 2. lay the pipe.
But if I get a girl interested and am able to up the buying temperature I may buy myself a drink or get her to get me one…
The mix I decided to make above is what I will call my ICM BASE MIX, it creates the base where all I have to do is add
For ICM A:
2 drops Raw Power
8 sprays Tac @2.5mcg
For ICM B:
2 Shots P83@10mcg; however I will be using 6 shots @10mcg for 60mcg total
OK, well did this last night, I did notice a gravitational effect on some ladies which this is good to pinpoint which ones are susceptible to phero signatures, which as it turns out are the thinner and more healthy girls who are non smokers and had a little alky in their system.
This mix seemed to work on 21-28, but the reactions were not very verbose, perhaps it was my cologne I was wearing the Black Code oil based as a cover diluted to 20% perhaps it was too strong at close distance.
One older lady I know D, actually got me and said I smelt like pheros, I asked her which hand it was on and she went for my neck where the P83 was instead of where my cologne was located… so obviously she has a damn good nose about 38yr/old white lesbian woman, so it kinda figures she knows the smells, and every time she came by me she would hug in an endearing way and said she could not help it LOL.
So, I assume I was not congruent enough with the signature not friendly enough perhaps I need to smile a bit more, I will be wearing this mix again tonight however I will wear the modifications to make it the A version… so I will have to dose myself with the TAC early to let the neroli die down, then I will use the Green Irish Tweed Clone I have, which smells better on me than the real thing, sillage is not far, but it does give me a cloud of about 4 feet and is not really dense but I do get a lot of smiles from ladies, one commented on how clean and sweet I smelled and that she just wanted to hug me.
Score, and that was without mones.

Wow where do you get these cologne for so cheap ?
These are the so called Knock off fragrances made by a company called Common Scents LLC, they are similar but not quite the same, I like them because they are oil and I can dilute to what I want and have something that will last all day.
I dislike most department colognes and I can mix my own with these.
NOTE The pink sugar was a request from a friend’s girlfriend, and is not for me LMFAO
whoever repped on that LOL made my day funny “Ladies Sex bomb against guys” LOL
I really want to know what it smells like as well.
Mix it with some cops for female testing hehe
