do you mix pheromones with colognes?

Hello All!

Is it ok to mix pheromones with your favorite colognes? as I said before I ordered 2 different pheromones from differene places, one of them said to use it with cologne or aftershave…the other one insisted to use it on its own (no colognes), so the pheromone smell wont hide behind the colognes…thx and happy v-day

Well now, this gets into a “it depends on what you ordered” kind of situation. The pheromones from Androtics are best not mixed with cologne, since that would throw off the mcg of pheromones per each spray, so the accuracy might go out the window. However, you can easily throw on a cologne cover scent for most products (Ammo comes premixed in a cologne scent, so it can be hard to use other colognes with)… as matter of fact, it can be encouraged since a cologne may help diffuse the pheromones.

Now, there are other products, like NPA from Love Scent, that are made to be mixed in with colognes. These are made extra concentrated to help offset the fact that the mcg’s will go down when mixed. Hope that helps ya! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

By “mixing” do you mean you are going to mix the two products in a container or do you mean you are going to spray on the phero and then spray on your cologne?

spray on the phero and then spray on the cologne…

Oh, then yes, that’s ok. Sorry, i thought you meant actually adding pheromones into your cologne bottle. No prob with adding that cover scent.

I think you should be fine. I’m no expert but that wont throw off the mcg/spray. I don’t know if the cologne will hinder diffusion. Also, you might want to see if the scent of your pheros will clash with your cologne.

thx for your help ..but if already have a nice smelling cologne ( I got guccie by guccie cologne as a gift )..I got good compliments on it..so if I used it with a different *scented phero..*would it make a different?..I like the cologne, but I dont want it to ruin the pheros work..

ok..thax all for your help

I do mixes with cologne all the time. However you need to use concentrated products designed for actual mixing. Most AD products are dosed for direct application and are too weak to mix. The reason this is important is any less than 4:1 cologne to mones the basic character of the cologne is compromised. Personally I find 5:1 the sweet spot with chemset mones as I get the mone dose I need while retaining most of the original cologne scent. However, mones are pungent and will always alter the character of a cologne somewhat. In some cases BO/pissy mones like androstenone actually improve a cologne if kept just under the surface. Also, realize some light colognes lack the wherewithal to cover pungent mones like cops or androstenone. I always do spray 'n cover tests before even mixing a small batch.

My old standby is chemset androstenone or NPA mixed 5 parts cologne to 1 part NPA. A classic that works every time for hot dates and drunken parties. I also do clones of old favs like SOE and AE but using chemset mones and my fav cologne, e.g., Burberry Weekend or Issey Miyake Summer. It’s nice to have a ready-to-go mix in a pocket atomizer to spray on the run in parking lots or bathrooms. I have about a half dozen custom mixes in atomizers with differ colognes. It’s nice to have choice.

The best bet you’re going to be able to do for that is apply your pheromones, wait 10-15 min. for the dry down time and the scent to fade some, then apply your cologne on over the application points. If you ordered scented phero’s, then there will be a slight change in the notes depending on how much you apply. If you only use a few sprays, should be small. If you spray alot on at once, then it’ll be larger of course.

What happens if you apply the cologne right after the pheromones? Sometimes I just apply the pheromone products, wait a minute and then spray the cologne. Sometimes I just spray them right after the pheromone sprays. Do we really have to wait for the dry down?

It’s all a matter of scent, to be honest. Here’s the deal: when you spray on multiple wet products at once, they mingle and their notes mix. Not a problem if you’re spraying 3-4 neroli products, right? Well, some people HATE the scent of androstienone or copulins, so you want those to dry and not mingle with the phero’s you spray on top of them… then the top phero’s have the more dominant scent and won’t smell like BO.

Same principle with cologne. When you spray your scented phero’s on and then your cologne without letting it dry, those notes will mingle and may throw off the groove of that favorite cologne you wanted to smell like. For lightly scented neroli, may not be as big of a deal.

But the ideal time for dry down is 10-15 min. if you don’t want them to mingle.
