I’m curious, I just started meditating a few weeks ago and since then I’ve stopped some compulsive habits and just improved my well-being in general. It has also got me thinking about pheromone usage and its addictive qualities, but not really sure what to think yet. Anyways, I guess it would be nice to see if meditation and pheromones are at odds with eachoter or not with this thread. ![]()
I don’t meditate yet, but I do pray. Similar effects.
The other night I decided to try self hypnosis while laying in bed. I generally have a hard time falling asleep (Its 12:53 am as I type this despite starting work at 7:30 am yesterday). So as I cleared my mind, focused on my breathing and imagined meadow in a forest in fall on a sunny day and myself walking through it peacefully, the gentle wind blowing leaves around, birds chirping etc. the next thing I knew I was awake and it was morning. I had fallen asleep almost instantly and woke up refreshed.
Anyway, I don’t think mones help meditation necessarily. But if meditation helps you calm down, focus me become more self aware, then you also become more aware of others around you. When you are firm in your identity you spend a lot less time dwelling on your own shortcomings and you start seeing the little details in other peoples lives.
And when you are aware of others, you start to see the effect of mones on them much more clearly. It helps you see the difference between their baseline and the extent of the influence of the mones on their bodies. When you have a baseline, you see the things they do that are out of character.
I think here on this forum we all share a common interest, human behavior. Sure, there are those who just want a get laid quick potion to do the job for them, but a lot of us want to go deeper. So we study NLP. Body language. Micro expressions. Vocal stresses. We read between the lines of what others say and try to deduce how they feel, and appeal directly to their feeling rather than the facade they present.
We meditate if it helps us. I think its good that it helps you, and I encourage you to do things that help you become more comfortable with who you are and more advanced in what you know. I also recommend that you study behavior whenever possible ![]()
I love meditation even though I don’t do it as much as I should, maybe 2-3 times per week.
I put a drop of p102 on my upper lip, P102 tends to relax me and put me in a good mood anyway but to be honest it didn’t make a difference
Yes. I use the Headspace app daily. The first 10 episodes are free. I liked it SO much, that I bought the lifetime plan.
It’s now a habit and part of my ‘morning routine’ which includes: Meditation, journaling (five minute journal), jump-roping for 5 minutes, and reading.
Got that idea from the book called, ‘The Miracle Morning’ and it feels great.
I have been doing mantra meditation and the breathing exercises from The Wim Hof Method.
I think meditation can be very powerful and have really profound effects on the mind and body.
Binaural/Isochronic tones I use these a lot for sleep and background noise while I sleep. The idea is using certain frequencies thru headphones to do certain things. They have all kinds for sleep, pain, chakra and so on. They work for me. I find them on youtube.
I do pray also and go to church and I am far from perfect ha ha. But this does help me big time with day to day life.
Breathing I try closing my eyes sometimes and focus on my breathing and just clearing my mind. I usually do this in the morning when I first wake up to get my mind focused.
I know these things do work. Whatever works for anyone is a great thing and I am not one to judge on what works and what don’t. These are things that do work for me.
I think it is very important to really be in tune with yourself and have you mind and body aligned together.
All these things have helped me tremendously with my life and getting the most out of it. My attitude has changed for the better and so much that everyone around me took notice to.
Very powerful stuff in meditation and other things.
P74 is one of my favorites to meditate with and helps me to really be in tune with myself.
P92 when I read my bible has helped me get a lot out of the scripture. It really helps with intellectual ability.
IS this one is just a great mood booster and makes me feel good.
P96 I can find the beauty in almost any situation no matter how bad things may seem.
P103 If I am scatter brained this helps tone it down and produces a mindless happiness. I like to pair with P100 for focus. If not it can be somewhat sedating by itself.
hi,
I am a regular in my Meditation. (I am a trained person through ART OF LIVING ).
India has a rich culture of MEDITATION .
I had used p102 once before meditation , it has taken me into deep meditation and sense of relaxation .
Greetings,
I thought I’d chime in and offer some advice. I was/am a ‘pick up artist’ and have extensive knowledge and experience with meditation and hypnosis.
My mentor was directly guided by the guy who ‘started’ all of pick up (Ross Jeffries). I have a lot of Jeffries’ materials and have been on group conference calls and learned a bunch from him. Jeffries recommended the ‘The Science of Enlightenment’ by Shinzen Young to those of us on his side of the PU (Pick Up) community. [Our side being those who practice ‘inner-game’ and not the artificial, robotic, emotionless, manipulative, ‘outer-game’ (what 99% of all the pick up books, tv shows, seminars/bootcamps teach)].
You can purchase it in several formats off Amazon, but the MP3 is the cheapest, at $8.
It is by far the BEST resource on really learning and understanding what meditation is, how it works and how to do it yourself.
