Does beard oil interfere with neck applications?

So I read the application 101 thread. Says that the neck is supposed to be a good spot. I have a beard. Doesn’t cover my full neck, but does extend about an inch or so below my jaw line. Will beard oil interfere with any mones that I try to use on my neck? I was wanting to try a sandalwood oil.

Anything with antiseptic properties can interfere with mones. Fragranced products other colognes can also give impredictable results scent-wise. The main problem is that some products will tend to stick in the beard’s hair. Instant Shine is one of the products that can be applied to hair (head…) and easily washed off. Ammo and TUTH are another story, odor buildup could develop over time. Maybe you could apply product to the sides of your neck instead. The best application points are pulse points (places where you can feel your heartbeat). Sides of neck are great for that because of the proximity of a main artery. But hey, I don’t have a beard, so I’m answering based on theroy. Maybe some users here have beard and can share their experiences on the subject.

Sandalwood has noted antibacterial properties - I wouldn’t have it sharing an app point with my pheros, beard oil or not as most antibacterials are as effective at wiping out pheros as they are at killing bacteria. Similarly stuff like Triclosan - found in many cheap hair and grooming products is best avoided.

Also oils can markedly affect the diffusion of spray pheros - and vice versa.

Using them near to each other is ok but never together. Sprays can layer together OK.

Androstenone also binds to hair quite strongly and can cause buildup/smelly problems and is difficult to remove - think long scrubbing sessions with hot soapy water!
