I’ve been taking MX353 out again with me when going out lately, and I seem to recall someone writing about this mix that he always put it on several hours before he ‘needed’ it, because the mix didn’t start firing on all cylinders until after a few hours..
That got me thinking, maybe I’ve been using it a bit wrong.. I usually delay putting MX353 on until just before I head out for purposes of longevity and I have noticed that unlike many spray-form (alcohol-based, as opposed to oil-based) pheromones, MX353 seems to kick well into the next morning if I applied it around 10 or 11 the previous night.
So has anyone else here noticed this phenomenon? Could MX353 be a mix that needs a couple of hours of “warm-up” before it really shines?
And what might be the cause of this delay?
I don’t know about a slow fuse for the phero itself but IME it can take some hours till the situation gets messy enough for people to appreciate it properly.
Umpteen times I’ve been in the situation of ODing left right and centre for the first half of a night with that stuff, then once people have relaxed/drunk enough to let their hair down - its a complete reversal, with hits and scores galore!
Yeah, my experience have been similar.. beginning of the night there’s not much going on outside of the ordinary.. but then, usually just before closing time, I’ll start seeing those crazy reactions (not always, but about 50% of the time..)
I’m going to move my time of application forward by 2 hours the next 3 times I wear MX353 as an experiment to see if the strong reactions also start showing up earlier, that would indicate that there is something in the mix that has a delayed effect.
The only two individual pheros in the published formula I haven’t tested solo is P79 and P86.
Would either of these have some delayed effect?
Not really. P79 is a bit of an enhancer - but IME it can be fickle and enhance the bad aspects of a phero mix just as easily as it can the good. I generally avoid using it without socials in a mix because they help steerit to the good side of things.
But maybe the P86 helps here - It does IME help to project the most attractive side of you. Its not a social or a moderator but its “beautifying” effect has been commented on before.
Neither have any particular time delay though - I’m more of the opinion that as an overt and very immediate mix, it goes down best when people’s blood runs hot, they are already feeling horny and more willing to get caught in the heat of the moment.
