Essential Oils & Unscented Pheromone Sprays

These days I prefer essential oil type colognes to typical commercial fragrances. I love the smell of A314 oil but rather dislike the smell of any of the spray pheromones offered by Androtics.

I have had success in the past with custom ordered unscented pheromone sprays to which I applied the only commercial cologne that I could tolerate but these days even that fragrance gives me a headache.

Before I order another batch of unscented pheromones, I wanted to ask if oil based fragrances would be effective for diffusion when applied over Androtics unscented spray pheromones or if this would mess things up?

I understand it’s not a good idea to apply a spray fragrance over something like A314 oil but would the inverse also be true? i.e. my awesome mitti attar in a oil base, applied over unscented instant shine or ammo?

Thanks everybody.

Oils over sprays will stem diffusion but its not nearly as damaging as spraying over oils.

Indeed, this is a tactic that can be used to help manage diffusion in very hot conditions when sprays tend to diffuse away much faster.

But…!

If you are using proper natural essential oils, you do need to check that they don’t have any antibacterial properties that will also wreck your pheros - Some do very effectively, cedar and other woody oils come to mind here and the much-missed Tisha has posted more useful info on what oils to avoid in a thread on this from a while back. A search would be in order.

Another thing you can do is to apply your pheros, then add the scented oil nearby, so that your body heat encourages it to rise over the pheros and combine in diffuse form - which probably won’t be so damaging but I’d do a smaller quantity test first before plomping for a big order of unscented.
