ew mix tooooooooooo strong

Hello,

I have a question why is it that i can’t seem to smell how strong eow is. but everybody else can? maybe i used too much? cause it smells good to me? can’t destiguish  i want it to work but i don’t want to run anyone away plus it’s embarrisssing:o so what’s a girl too do? heavy dilution maybe? i think the eow made my strong perfume even stronger god!? any suggestions maybe add water instead of alcohol to tone down the scent

Did you just get it in the last month or so? There’ve been a few reports both here and on Love-Scent forum that the newest batch isn’t as stinky as prior batches … and some are wondering if it is still as effective, and I’m afraid I don’t know the answer.

But you said that others around you complained when you reapplied, right? So you think they smelled something that you didn’t? It’s possible … does your sense of smell seem as strong as usual, to you?

EW really seems to behave (i.e., not stink) best if you apply it neat, let it dry down 10 minutes and then cover with perfume. In my own experiments, when I mix it with another scent, I can still smell the EW in there even after drydown, although oil bases are better at covering it than either water or alcohol.

If you have some mixed in alcohol that you think might be too strong, you could dilute it with more perfume, either in the bottle or on your skin.

Mine dosnt smell that strong. I have put it on had no problem covering it at all. I have my mom and sister stick there nose right up to my wrist but they cant smell anything other then whatever scent I am wearing that day. What scent are you wearing over it? Are you mixing it with something or using it straight?
Carrie is right and it is easier to cover if you use it neat wait 10 to 15 minites to let it dry then put on a cover scent. It still hasnt done a thing for me so I am going to save the bottle till spring and try it again then.

Good luck

I have three bottles from batch SPE6 (the current batch) and while they are slightly less pungent than the SDE6 ones I had from between July and November last year, they are every bit as effective, and the variation in the SCENT of Essence of Woman is par for the course.

I am still at a loss as to the reports of women geting zip when using Essence of Woman, but I honestly feel the fact a lot of them are testing in and around a workplace, is counterproductive.

The purpose of Essence of Woman is to focus EXTREME sexual attraction to the woman wearing it, and if you wear something giving out THAT signal loud and clear, somewhere other than with someone you really want to GET with one on one, -mixed messages are flying out of your body, and it may simply be that the guys in which you are in close proximity are totally confused as to just WHY they are feeling like horndogs, when they should be concentrating on work!

That in itself can make for what might seem like nothing is happening but trust me, if I want “The Man” to DREAM of me when he leaves here for the night, I make damn sure that my perfume-covered NEAT EW, is the very LAST thing he has in his nostrils on the drive home.

I always will get a text the next day from him, which is extremely naughty and makes me grin all the way to work.

Carrie is right. Ew into oils makes for a more subtle mix, but mixing it directly into perfumes or EDTs makes things too sharp. This does NOT apply if you mix it into PURE perfume. Not Eau De Parfum - gotta be the pure stuff, as the esters in the cops work brilliantly with the pure perfume.

Okay ladies, it’s Valentine’s Day here, and I want to get some sleep before I am woken - early.

Have a lovely Val’s Day when your own particular timezone allows!

Well I used it at work just to test it out after repeated attempts didnt work on my husband. I was just surprised and disappointed because I thought the EOW would defiantly work. I do however think Ail is right and you should not wear it to work. I am not looking for any more of that kind of attention then I already get there. 90% of the workforce in our office are men.

I am unsure why the EOW dosnt seem to work either but I have found that with alot of products I have tried on the first few days of wearing them no reaction and then suddenly people start to react so it could happen with cops to.

I put mine in a different bottle and will revisit it in the spring when the kids are out more and me and my husband have more time alone. He works less hours in the spring and summer and he dosnt have allergys so his nose should be clear by then  Plus I wear less cloths in the spring LOL

Oh and since his sense of smell dosnt seem to be working as of yet I hit one of his other senses with a little trip to Victoria Secret and good timing and that has cured him for now :o

Ail thanks for all your help and patience with newbies like myself and I hope you and " The Man " have a great Val-Day.

Have a Happy Valentines day everyone!

Well, I also have a bottle from one of the newer batches of Essence of Woman, and I agree that it isn’t as pungent, but it works just as well for me as always…can’t pry my new love interest off of me with a crowbar when I’m wearing it…not that I would want to…

I am with Ail on this one…I have never found EW to get no reaction. And, I wear it all the time…just to be prepared…:open_mouth: The only time I don’t wear it is when I am testing one of the new mixes for effects…I have to leave the EW off then, because it will ALWAYS get me noticed, and will skew the results.

And, yes, EW is much stronger when mixed with an alcohol based cologne. I guess it is that, as the cologne diffuses and evaporates, the EW is left and it has not had the time to dry down and mellow as it des on your skin. I use it in all different ways though…mixed into a bottle of Instant Sexiness, neat before other applications, and mixed in a roll on bottle of perfume oil. It’s all good…and always does exactly what I want…

For those of you who have more experiance in mixing EOW, what amount would you recommend using? I’m on my very first batch at the moment. I have a half a bottle of Warm Vanilla Sugar body spray from Bath and Body Works. I heard that vanilla is a good scent to use with EOW. So I’ve put three drops of it into my bottle. I don’t notice any change in the scent. Although I’ve been out with it once, it’s too soon to really say how well it works. I would like a few more tests.

How about the rest of you. How much EOW do you typically add to your mix?

Well, I have been known to dump an entire bottle of Essence of Woman into a bottle of Instant Sexiness :open_mouth: . If I am mixing it with perfume oil, I take a 10 ml roll on bottle, and put the whole bottle of Essence of Woman in it, and then fill the bottle the rest of the way with oil. Vanilla does cover EW very well…other scents that have worked for me are musk and amber…

There’s been a lot of talk about EoW on here that I am reaaaally tempted to order a bottle! Thanks Dolly for your last post on covering with oil. I do have many perfume oils, and also live in a neck of the woods where I can find easy access to perfume oils and also the little glass bottles.

Thanks for the input. Perhaps my mix is too weak. I’m planning on ordering myself a bottle of Instant Sexiness. I may have to try one of your tricks Dolly. Or at least work my way up to that to see if it works for me.

To start, you may want to try putting the Essence of Woman on straight, let it dry down, then cover it with either Instant Sexiness or your regular cologne…put a drop of the EW on each side of your neck, on each wrist, and in your cleavage, and let it sit for about 10 min…then apply your scent or other phero mix…works very well…

Maybe A vanilla musk can work perfectly with EOW

Yes, basically I have had luck with any blend of vanilla, amber, and musk…either separately or together…

how does amber work out, seems like a awsome scent, i wonder can get one from Victoria’s Secret

there are many great amber scents on the market. Just one that comes to mind is Estee Lauder Amber Nude Youth Dew. Tom Ford “created” it. Victoria’s Secret frags right now are very floral, very young-girly. Amber is a deeper tone, think bass note, whereas most VS frags are sopranos. Maybe an alto or two in the bunch (Dream Angels Desire is OK). Go to Basenotes: Your independent online guide to the world of perfume and fragrances and use the directory function to search for the note “amber” and read the reviews. It’s a great site.

Yeah, the VS Amber Romance is a little too “frilly”…go to the store with the link provided by Ail…they seem to have a lot of Amber Scents…I’m gonna try some from there…I currently mix a lot of my own blends, and I use a lot of Amber…even all by itself, it is wonderful…

oH, Wow i might order it, once i browse through it. Because i already have Vanilla Musk by: Coty. SO it might good to add an amber scent on to my Vanilla musk. Everything is owrking out great, especially when im about to get EOW
