Listen to Denec and Diamond, they know of what they speak. But like it was said, get it from someone else. If you know anyone who works at a bar or club or restaurant, you can browse through the ID lost and found to look for one that’s close enough match to work. My wife is from the bar business and she kept a box full of ID’s in her office.

True story-
In college, my suitemate took my drivers license, (we looked similar, his features and coloring were similar, my DL had a beard he was shaven, could pull it off)
He carried it in his wallet with his drivers license. (mistake #1)
He was drinking with his Rugby team buddies, and when the cops came into the bar, his buddy yelled, “‘Bud’ put down your drink cops” (buddy called him by his nickname, also his legal last name) the cop saw him throw down his drink, and questioned him. The cop apparently remembered him from busting him 2 weeks earlier.
So the cop shows up at my dorm room, asking for my license, I was like what, it’s right here in my wallet, and pulled my wallet out of my desk drawer. I feigned shock knowing my license had been taken earlier, the officer asked if I knew my license had been taken I said no. saving me from further procession, but my suitemate got a $300 second offense underage consumption ticket ($150 first offense) and a $400 false identification fine. as well as 600 hours of community service and put on probation by the university.
If you use a fake id make sure that is the only ID you have on you McLoven.
also make sure the cops don’t know you personally either.

Before new jersey went APE SHIT with having all sorts of documentation for getting a liscense - people used to get their friends birth certificate and SS Id card and walk into the DMV claiming to have lost their liscense. The DMV would take your picture and give you a real NJ drivers liscense with all of your friends info on it LMAO.
Now they not only require more ID - they put something on the ID that identifies it as a 2nd issued ID… the bars in NJ can’t accept secondary drivers lisences.

Hey Revivia, this isn’t exactly a specialty per se, but I do have significant experience with fake IDs. When I was under 21, the easiest way was to borrow a friend’s ID. Try and do that first, if it’s really not a possibility then consider a fake ID.
If you do get a fake ID, don’t order over the internet. I haven’t tried it before, nor will I. It’s simply too sensitive of an item to be ordering online, going through customs, then the post office, to your front door.
There are local people who make IDs that can probably hook you up. Maybe your friends might not know, but I’m sure there’s someone on campus that knows someone that knows someone. That’s how I would have gotten customers, like any other business. You can always check out local stores too, there was one in my city called ‘Locks, Keys, and IDs’ that would make you a fake one if you asked them right.
I don’t know what TX IDs are like, CA IDs are pretty hard to fake properly. There are a lot of variables at play, the thickness of your paper, the thickness of the laminates, proper positioning of the holograms and the UV reactive logos, as well as the proper intensity of the logos. There are many details that need to be synchronized with the information on the card. The magnetic strip needs to be encoded properly, many places swipe. The bar code on the back being made specifically for your information doesn’t hurt, although you almost never need it.
Basically, for an ID to pass my test, it would need to pass the bend test, a swipe test, and a UV reaction test. The holograms are always iffy, especially on older IDs, so you can usually get away with a shitty one. But the UV reactive logos are hard to produce properly, if anything that’s where it’ll look the worst. Also, the photo you take for the ID should be just like the ones for your ID. Get a passport photo taken if you don’t think you can take it right. You should see some of the atrocious pictures I’ve seen. I don’t know who would think that the ID was actually made at the DMV, the picture is very faded relative to the ID or too dark, etc… Most of the time spent on making a fake ID is spent on touching up the photo so it isn’t obvious that it wasn’t taken at the DMV.
Other states have it easy. They just take a PVC card and laminate the information onto it. You just need a PVC printer, the proper templates and then print them out. If you’ve got a really good handle on photoshop, you might want to consider trying to make one yourself. Obviously it’s very illegal, so do it at your own risk. I will say that making IDs is a very, very profitable endeavor. I don’t suggest doing so, but I won’t stop you if you do. 
Lastly, it isn’t as bad if you put your real information on there, minus your changed birthdate, compared to changing all of your information (name, address, etc..) which constitutes a false identity. I’m no lawyer, so I don’t specifically know the differences. But unless you have a good reason to give different information out when you go to bars, I would just put your real info, with changed bday.
If it doesn’t work out, just wait a year, it’s not that big of a deal. And it kinda takes the excitement away. BTW, if you’re ever asked by a cop to show ID, I always make sure to only have on ID on me, or only one showing if I can’t help it. Make sure it’s the right one, if you have both. I will never show a fake ID to a cop. They will know unless it is an ID actually made by an insider at the DMV and unless that insider also changed your DMV records, chances are, your ID will either show up as not having a DMV record on file (which is impossible if you actually have a DL/ID) or it’ll show the wrong information. Don’t use a fake ID with the police! Go into bars, trick your friends, buy alcohol from liquor stores, but never ever give a fake ID to a cop.
Have fun man! Oh, and try not to get ripped off for either a bad quality ID or a good quality ID that’s way overpriced. You should know that the materials cost less than $5/ID for a CA ID. A PVC ID would be even cheaper. The bulk of the cost is labor and the risk involved. So if anyone tries to hustle you, just keep that in the back of your mind. $85 is reasonable, I know some suckers that have paid over $150 for an ID.
