if you have the February 2008 issue of Focus magazine by the BBC, there is a little article on Seduction which even mentions Neil Strauss (he got interviewed too) and pheromones which it says there is little proof in favour of them.. there is a nice photo of Nova Pharmaceutical Corporation producing some pheromones though.
On the other hand Strauss says this
“I do think the seduction community is a good example of social science in action - and I also think that they’re ahead of the science curve. They can’t isolate the variables like scientists can, of course. But they’re in the real world, so they know when something works.”
He does have some knowledge of them. He has spoken of some neuro chemical in the brain that produces pheromones when two people end up “connecting”
It’s also important to note he is one of Jasmin’s “persuasion buddies” Maybe I’m way off base here but how far fetched would it be then to suggest he was/is a customer of Androtics?
Perhaps he rose through the ranks so quickly and became top PUA, because while he excelled at the social dynamics, he also had the benefits of synthetic pheromones. A perfect marriage of two things so aptly advertised on this forum.
Him saying there’s little proof in favor of them only means there’s no solid science behind it. Not that he has never used them. 
He’s still a journalist after all.
