Ok guys.. this is going to be funny. My first impressions:
I don’t know if this would’ve happened otherwise but here goes my experience.
I was helping a customer (One of the bosses) with something and he asks me “Do you want a soda?” I said, “I don’t drink soda, but I will take a water” He said “Mmm we don’t have bottled water. I will get you a cup of water” I said “Sure.. that sound good” he goes out and just after he exits, he comes back and says “Tell you what I will do. I just bought this bottle of water. Here, you can have it” - At this point I was thinking “No Fucking way..”
Later on.. one of the pricks in the company decides to badmouth me in front of the two bosses. The two bosses shot him down and said “I am sure he knows what he is doing” - Again in my head “Mmm No fucking way again”
I got instant openess as a gift (thank you Amy) and tried it out. I haven’t really seen people try to approach me and speak with me.. but the A314 seems to do the job. I applied 2 drops on each wrist and 1 drop on my hair (was this ok?)
Openness is one of my favorite products, you just need to give people a lot of time to be around you when you’re wearing it. It seems to be a gradual thing. I have had excellent results with it, but you need to have a base of comfort with the person.
Well, for example I have 2 hour classes at college, and if im wearing IO during class it seems everyone within x amount of feet wants to talk to me more and they trust me with stuff they normally probably wouldn’t. (I use IH a lot too.)
Hair application lasts a long time. This can be good as long as you’re aware of the upsides and downsides.
There’s a real wall between us and “strangers” in most people’s minds (see Stanley Milgram’s later experiments), and it can be a little high to climb with pheromones alone. Instant Openness makes people open to you, but won’t necessarily make strangers take the “hard” step of approaching. It happens sometimes, but it’s not as consistent as we’d hope.
That’s why we don’t call our main social product “Come Talk To Me” anymore. Making strangers do the initial approach is not the easiest thing in a crowded world. Making them receptive to you and your advances, and keeping them talking is much more easily doable chemically.
Until we work out something better, you often still need to provide that initial Stimulus (“hello”, “hi”, “hey”, “nice hair”). The Openness is the grease that makes people more receptive to you, and more ready and able to chat.
With people who are used to talking to you already (classmates, co-workers, etc), or they have to talk to you (salespeople, etc.) it can also show it itself more easily as elongated or more intense conversation. As pherophreak mentions, it really shows itself in class. People there have talked to him before, and it’s a chat safe context. There’s not the same wall there you’d have with utter strangers.
