An Open Letter to Steve Jobs:
I want to tell a story about my first experience of Apple since you have passed on - I feel it would be appropriate.
I was in an elementary school sitting in a classroom giggling my ASS off. “Poop has died from dysentery.” To me, it was hilarious and witty. But to the teacher - she pretty much wasn’t amused. Oregon Trail on the Apple IIe was probably one of the best learning experiences of my life. I already knew a lot about PCs and DOS, but the Apple IIe was a very different computer. It was like it was built for fun. It was built to teach a kid like me about ‘thinking different’.
Fast forward to today’s world and Apple has been an example to everyone in any industry that develops technology including Androtics. The whole company here uses Macs because they talk to each other so easily. Our iPhones, iPads, Macs - these are all integral to the operation - especially since we are all so often on the move.
Your passing has left a void in Earth’s lineup of great minds. There’s so many things we have to be thankful for in today’s world and one of them is the life of Steve Jobs.
Rest in peace, Steve. After your battles in life - you deserve a good rest. I wish I got to meet you.
Good night and farewell.
