I am a 19 year old female in Colorado, starting off my third year of college, majoring in Anthropology.
Overall, I’m fairly shy, quiet. It’s hard to open up to people, and I don’t have many friends, only ones that I’ve kept for a very long time, or just acquaintances at work, or people I see on a daily basis in class. I am trying SO hard to be more extroverted and outgoing, but it just doesn’t seem to be making me many friends. I wasn’t very attractive for most of my teen years, but recently feel as though I grew into my looks.
I’ve known of pheromones for a while, but generally dismissed them as something that isn’t any of our control, and all the ones I saw for sale online were bunk. Then one morning, I saw my boyfriend putting on what he said as ‘Alpha’ pheromone. I scoffed at him, told him it was just a placebo, and he should know better, he’s a scientist. But then he told me how on days he wears it his superiors do respect him more, and there is definitely an effect – even if it is just placebo for the confidence he feels. I checked the bottle, and it led me to this site.
I was instantly entranced by the amount of personal experiences that so many people took the time to write. And the direct connection of the site to the forum was what convinced me to take a plunge and order some… I decided on the MX135 and IS/B.
I hope that pheromones will be a good tool to help me feel more confident about interacting with people. My main social barrier, it seems, is the fear that people don’t want to talk to me when I want to talk to them, or that I’m annoying–even. Which I doubt is true, as I rarely talk.
I can’t say that my hopes are super high for this. But it’s a new and interesting topic that I haven’t known anything about, and I look forward to learning! I started out in Molecular Biology, so thinking about the intricacies of interaction of pheromones on the brain is interesting too. Not to mention that the idea of a sort of ‘social experiment’ is very appealing to me. I am fairly knowledgeable about body language, and I think I’ll be good at identifying ‘hits’ when they happen.
Anyway, can’t wait for my order to get here, and to get to know all of you!
