Well, It gave me xray vision … which thusly ended my need for pheromones. Haha…but all jokes aside, the sense of smell is a tough thing to discern sometimes. I am no expert, but I feel that after I applied my 3 sprays of IO, within 30 minutes or so I noticed a new awareness of smell.
Now, sometimes you’re hungry, or sometimes you’re less congested than previous, and that may help in your smelling ability…however this was different. It not only increased my sensitivity to the smells, but they seemed to be altered…and not similar to how I’ve smelled things before (but in a good way).
Everything seemed increasingly appetizing, including the perfumes and such other people were wearing (not that I’d want to lick the perfumes per say…but maybe the wearers
. In addition to this increase in quality of smell and sensitivity, there was a third dynamic that I couldn’t put my finger on, which is the culprit for me writing this thread. Things did not only smell better in terms of me liking them more or disliking them more, but they changed…almost as an awakening of a new dynamic to the certain smell. This is why I chose ‘heightened’ as my adjective to describe it.
It could just be that I’ve never experienced at the same time these smells and a foreign (to me) scent of pheromone. To answer your questions, yes I did notice it elsewhere…but not as succinctly as at work where there is a plethora of sources for olfactory arousal.
At home I noticed some differences such as smell of sweat (could be due to pheromones leaking through my pores when I exercise), an altered smell of my freezer…strange I know. My roommates both did not notice a change in smell and asked if I was high…haha. Besides those two I cannot remember any..but there were more. Only after work did I decide to start a thread on this and could not recall the other minor occasions where I noticed a difference.
I’ve tried to repeat the effect, and it seems that it only occurs when I think of the smell in terms of changing. It may be placebo effect since this was my first week of testing. However, I REALLY like your input in regards of the awakening of senses. If I understand correctly, you are speaking of the phenomena that occurs similarly when someone goes blind, and their other senses are almost forced to change because a different sensory input has occurred for everything they were once used to. Correct me if I’m wrong…but that is what I got.
I will try and post more regarding this issue, but I really don’t want it to interfere with my testing much…I will only post it if I noticed it again, and I will not try to reproduce the effect. Cheers!
