I’m 22 years old and in college majoring in engineering. Throughout middle and high school, I wasn’t the most popular kid, but maintained a good set of friends due to my sense of humor and ability to succeed in athletics. At a young age I discovered that humor was a major factor to getting females to be attracted to you. Unfortunately, looking back to my high school days, I realize now how I would constantly miss obvious signs of attraction from beautiful girls I considered to be out of my league (when I say ‘obvious’ I mean OBVIOUS!), my confidence may have come accross well to others, but it wasn’t authentic. I had a few girlfriends in high school that were decent looking, they all started as friends and then eventually elevated to more. After high school, I fell into a year long slump with women. Nah… you didn’t type too much. I thank you for your frankness in explaining your situation. The one thing I think that all guys need to exude is a confidence in themselves, almost getting to cockiness to attract. You have the qualities to get there. The inner turmoil is there and you’ve gotten to the realization that you can let out the better, improved you!
