Well, my name is Mike and I’ve used Realm for years and sort of stumbled on to this site by accident. I had no idea there was entire culture dealing with pheromones, let alone to what degree they are evolving. I work as a graphic artist for a government agency and I find myself around politicians. I would like to earn more respect on the job, but also increase my attractiveness to women off. I’m not bad looking, but at 39 it is getting a little more difficult.
I play in an all original band and have been writing songs for 22 years. I’ve also written 2 books. But, I’m terrible at self-promotion (even writing this is an effort.)
I do have some depression and am taking Cymbalta (which really seems to help.) I’d like to be able to express myself with confidence in almost every situation … my job, my “hobbies” (which are really more “dreams”) and to increase my erotic potential.

You have told us a bit about yourself already which is great, but can you tell us a bit about your personality? It’ll help us point you in the right direction when choosing phero’s. Are you shy, outgoing?
What are you hoping to gain from using phero’s? Do you want to use them for general social situations, work, dating?
A lot of the social pheros in particular have great self-effects, Instant SHine is my favourite. It tends to really boost my mood and confidence. It does the same for my flatmate who is batteling depression. It is obviously a transient effect and phero’s wont cure depression, but it can make it a bit easier to bare if only temporarily…

Basically, I’m an introvert/extrovert type. I can talk to the mayor and play a show in front of 500 people … and then again I can be very withdrawn and am perfectly happy to be alone some times. I’ve totally lost all shyness, though I was shy at one time.
I’m pretty comfortable with myself, but, as I said above, I want to be more affective in my work situation (the political types don’t really give me much respect) and I’d like to increase my dating potential.
Basically, I just want to be a better communicator.

as Xiph and Phat have said, we could do with some more information to really help you in the right direction.
A couple of things spring to mind though. For respect at work have a look at A314, I doubt that you have any confidence problems seeing as you’re in a band. As for the ladies, at our age, I don’t think you can beat double strength ammunition. Trust me, it works!
For communication, Instant Shine every time but also look at IFM to help the ladies relax and Instant Honesty to get the conversation nice and deep

I think deep down I tend to put people off or come off as aloof. At work that doesn’t help me, though I do get consistantly good raises (at this time, believe me, it helps.)
I just got back out into the dating world a year and a half ago and I’m really finding getting the chemistry thing happening a lot harder than it used to be. I’m decent looking and funny, but that doesn’t translate into getting a woman to wanna rip my clothes off. I’m looking for a long-term relationship, but only with the right woman.

There’s a young guy around here called dss, he has had a similar problem with people finding him aloof, now he’s frustrated cos he can only get one night stands and threesomes . Have a read of some of his posts, they may be of help.
If you’re looking for long term relationships, I would suggest focussing on the social pheromones and bring the sexual ones in later if needed. For example, A314 ( although primarily a work pheromone) can work exceptionally well when combined with ammo ( sexual but very well buffered with socials), TUTH is as likely to scare women away as attract them.

Actually, A314 was the one I was going to try first. Diamond, having read your married man’s advice, I can see you have a lot of insight (and I’m certainly not looking for the one-night stand situations.)

A314 is awesome, seriously. It is that good that you will find people are in awe and almost scared to approach you! This is easily overcome by you “breaking the ice”, then they will be part of your “pack” and look to you for advice and approval. I love it. However, if you can’t carry the signature ( be confident enough to use it), it rings false and sends completely the opposite signals. Hell, if you can play to a crowd of 500 plus, you’ll be fine.
Well, I’d say that playing in front of a crowd is a lot different than being affective in a one on one way. There is the element of control that you don’t have with individuals (it’s your show, etc.) But, I take your point. It’s good advice.

I’m playing a few shows pre SXSW…never needed anything before but I think I’ll wear a314 for the biz aspect I think… Definitely Instant Shine and maybe MX292 (although if you read the threads, it will probably be overkill)
