I’ve experienced the same link problem you are describing with older links. I discovered a work-around on this, in that an old has the forum folder included, and this is no longer needed in the weblink string. Edit your old like to remove the folder so that if an old link says this:
Removing the folder so that the new link looks like this:
…And you should get where you need to go!
