Hi, my name is Mathias. I am a 16 year old male from a Port Alberni, B.C. and I joined this forum in hopes that it may help me. I’ve always been shy, and i’ve done my best to become more confident and I try to be as social as i can be, but it always seems hard. Sometimes I find a niche where i can talk to someone without the feeling of nervousness and what i’ve found is that its easy to be social if i feel like the people i’m near want to be social with me. So I heard about pheromones from searching for items on ebay and I thought i might as well check it out. At first I was very skeptical of pheromones amazing ability to make social interactment easier, but then i noticed how many people are really dedicated to this forum.
So one question I’ve had thats really been bugging me. They say that Pheromones can have a large part in whether you feel attracted to a person or not. So why is it that i don’t feel affected by that? I mean I can’t remember a time i’ve seen someone from a distance and said to myself “I don’t feel attacted to her” and then all of a sudden as i get near it just hits me “Omg shes beautiful” I’ve never had that happen. Can anybody explain that? because thats my main point of skepticism.
I’ll be honest with all of you here on the forum, I’ve never been very good with girls, I’m fine if they initiate conversation with me, but i’ve never been good just talking to girls. So thats another part of the reason I’m here, I hope that maybe there is something that can help. Even if it helps very slightly or if it has a placeabo affect on me and I think its working, it will help me greatly.
I also have very little money, I have no job (mainly because there’s no openings) and this 15 dollar gift card maybe very benefitial to me. If I do manage to scrounge enough money up and buy a product from here, could someone tell me what i should get? Like what products are good for socializing and what ones are good for meeting girls and the rest of it.

It’s ok to be skeptical, Pheromones affect people subconciously, i.e. without you knowing, the concious mind is responsible for the decision making part of your actions. it just doesn’t work like the way you described, its not a magic potion, just “enhances”.

The reason you haven’t felt the ‘sudden pang’ effect you describes is because natural human (or synthetic) pheromones generally do not work like that. Organisms that rely heavily on pheromones, like various insects, will use pheromones to convey very express signals. Like, “I’m ready to mate now.” In humans, the use of pheromones has seemingly become reduced, or atrophied. This doesn’t mean we don’t react to pheromones–in fact much of the observations relayed on this forum point to the contrary–but rather, you are not going to get a drastic reaction like the one you described.
The closest would be once two people become mutually attracted to each other. As the rapport and interaction escalates to something more serious, both parties will secrete more natural attractant pheromones. Have you ever held a girlfriend, or a significant other in an approaching-intimate setting and had your body flush, or your heart race a bit? More likely than not, that was a reaction to some pheromone signal released by the other person.
