I’m mid-30’s, straight caucasian male of average attractiveness and moderate career success. Curious to see if this all works or not!
I’m primarly interested in pheromones that’ll make my working life a bit easier. I’m a friendly kind of person and once people get to know me I’m the dependable type that they confide in. I’d say I have a 1:1 ratio of male / female friends (I’ve always had a lot of female friends) and am in a long term relationship…
…so why am I here? Basically I’m fairly shy with new people and am aware my shyness can at times project aloofness or arrogance when that is far from what I intend. This can prove obstructive in work dealings and to a certain extent social environments too.
As above, once people get to know me I’m seen as very friendly and open though.
With this in mind I’ve ordered To Go sizes of Instant Honesty, Instant Openness and Instant Gentleman. I think they are the ones most congruent with my personality, and if they encourage people to get past the wrong-impression barriers I know I can put out unwittingly it’ll be helpful.
I’ve also ordered some A314 - my job is full of people who aren’t as good as me but who shout a lot louder so give the impression of being more successful. I also have to manage people who “try it on” occasionally as they see my more quiet approach as a weakness rather than just an alternative to shouting. I’m hoping the A314 will help me have more of a “presence”.
So that’s me - mostly interested in the socials at this stage and will see how they go for me in improving my day to day working-life interactions.
I’ve also taken a punt on the double-strength ones where available, given the smaller amount dispensed on the To Go sizes and the fact I’m mid-30’s, which my forum reading suggests may make higher doses more applicable.
Once I’ve tried them all out I’ll be sure to post back reports on my experiences so others can be helped in their choices as much as reading all the forum posts has helped me!

I think IO would be better suited for work than IH though. Both of these work really well in relaxing you and the people around you, making you chattier. IO increases the general quantity of conversation, whereas IH increases the quality of conversation. With IH you’ll feel closer and more intimate with the person you are talking to and it’s great for relationships.
Another one you might want to consider is Instant Shine. It’s great if you’re a bit shy. It’s a fabulous all-rounder that does exactly what it says on the bottle….it makes you shine! It will boost your mood and confidence and gives you a happy, youthful and approachable vibe. It’s great to use on its own as well as in a combo.
I suggest starting with ig and a314. Learn what each does and then try applying both in different ratios. These tend to increase your aura of competence. IG is more social, while a314 may be a bit more intimidating, although I understand its formula is being tweaked to minimize the intimidation.
IH and io will indeed increase conversations and make you more approachable, but may give the impression of a “lightweight” in business settings. Use them carefully at work.
Sounds like you’re on your way. You’ve made some good choices.
I agree with Xiphoid. Try IO at work, instead of IH. IH is meant for building rapport, deepening communication and trust. IO is meant to encourage more light talk and banter.
A314 can create some “distance” and may exacerbate the “aloofness” or “arrogance” vibe you have. I’m kind of a shy guy myself, so I find that while A314 has awesome self-effects, it does NOT make me more approachable. Try softening the A314 with IO, once you have a handle on what each does separately. OTOH, A314 does give me more balls when dealing with others, so if you can already approach others, it’d be excellent IMO.
