Hello Pheronautes !

I’m SeventhSin, 30 yo caucasian male, east european origins but living in Montreal, Canada.

My only experience with pheromones came through a small bottle of Alpha7-scented. I don’t remember where I bought it from but I have the sneaky suspicion it was from androticsdirect.com.

Anyhow I’ve decided to buy 6 or 7 products offered here, so that I can engage in a serious session of field testing. What cologne would recommend as a good cover scent able to work well with most of the pheromones ? I’m thinking Ungaro 3 / Eau Sauvage. What do you guys think ?

Thanks.

SS

hey,

most of the products offered here are scented, so you don’t really need a cover scent. Unless you like to smell like a perfume shop. I only use a cologne if I’m wearing the A314 oil on its own.

Alpha-7 is not an AD product. Maybe it was, but if so, it’s long discontinued. I don’t know the name, so probably it’s just a product from elsewhere.

What else will you tell us about yourself? Which products are you considering buying? What kind of personality are you? Any social difficulties? Anything particular that you want to achieve with pheromones?

Hi there,

Thats cool that your living in canada.Heard its supposed to be a pretty nice place(^_^)Heard of alpha7 but havent gotten around to trying it,supposed to be pretty good though although a little strong on the none.Dont think you bought it from here though unless they had it long before my time.Think it was more likely from lovescent at a guess.

Thats cool that youve decided to make such a big order.Any idea which products your getting so far or just going to get everything and give them a try?If you are,then you might want to go for the beginners pack that contains all the products since it works out cheaper and you can even apply your gift certificate on it when you get it(^_^)

Havent tried those 2 colognes but most of the products are in neroli which dries down to pretty mild so whatever you cover it with would work fine.You only might have a bit more trouble covering ammo and maybe A314 since they are meant to be used as cologne so smell pretty strong so the smells may not mix very well.(><)All the best and dont hesitate to ask if you have any questions(^^)

Like the guys said - you really do not need much of a cover scent for most of the products and if you get Ammo it already has it’s own cologne scent. So it really is whatever scent you like.

Is there anything in particular you are looking to do with the pheros? Do you have a mix of products already in mind? If you are lloking for just a good spread i would go with something like: Ammo, IG, A314, IO & IH. There is alot you can do with those five. And maybe TUTH but if you do that try to buffer it with the IO if you are using it out in clubs or bars.

Hey, thanks everyone for your contribution and willingness to help.

@Marihino

I think it would be great if AD offered non-scented versions of their products so that everyone could choose a favourite cover scent without risking to smell like a perfume shop. :roll_eyes:

I was thinking the socials (Instant Shine, IO, IH) + TUTH, A314… and maybe 2-3 others, but now that looifookmeng made me aware of the “KILLER PHEROMONE KIT FOR NEWBIES”, I’ve decided to go with that.

Well, I’m a very curious person and I like to play/test everything. I don’t have high expectations and no particular goal, except testing this stuff thoroughly and having lots of fun while doing it. :smiley:

@looifookmeng

You’re right, it’s a lovescent product. Thanks for suggesting the kit for newbies, you’ve saved me lots of debating with myself on what to buy. :stuck_out_tongue:

@bosshank

My goal for now is to try them one at a time. I’m not experienced enough to start mixing, but as soon as I get a grasp on the mechanics of the process I’ll start playing with different combinations to see what works for me, what can be enhanced, etc.

well, they do. For most products you can choose a custom option of having it unscented or with a different scent. Some mixes are also offered with so-called “Stealth Diffusion Technology”, which means they do have some scents added, but ones chosen specifically to kind of cancel the smell of those particular pheromones, since many pheromones are not exactly scentless. And it still lets the pheromones difuse well - it’s important, because the job that those scents are doing is not only to smell nice, but also to carry the pheromones in the air.

good choice!

yeah, I believe that’s the right way to start this adventure.

Don’t get too worried about the scents - All the Instant Line and most (if not all) of the MX’s come in a 6% or light scent - This is in order to let you build-up your phero dose/mix without becoming too smelly and to sit reasonably well with or complement other cover scents or colognes. By the time you get to about 30mins after application, they will have settled to a low/background level and you would need a whopping amount of sprays to overdo it. :slight_smile:

Ammo is the only one in a strong cologne scent as standard.

Putatives and Experimones also come in 6% but that can be changed at order.

Consumer products can also be had in any scent/strength you like via a custom order but the only one you can’t change is A314 - however, the oil version (best one IMO) is very light and settles so discrete you can get away with it in low/no-scent environments at reasonable doses.

Ordering unscented is a tricky one - for a start, the mones themselves all have a scent and without a cover, they can become more apparent and even unpleasant very quickly. Scent response does vary a lot between individuals - some will smell nothing at all, whilst others will find certain mones very unpleasant, the rest sit somewhere inbetween.

AD’s new “Stealth Diffusion” formulae look very promising but again, they have a slight scent on application but this settles very low quite quickly. Only the other day, John announced that the first tests of consumer products are going to start soon, so hopefully it won’t be long before you will be able to get products in that form.

Going completely unscented is not a particularly good idea as mone diffusion does benefit greatly from a scent carrier and they will be far less effective without. TBH, most of the folk who do buy unscented are dedicated mixers who will be mixing with their own cover scents or combining with already scented products for a final mix. They don’t buy them to apply on their own.

Welcome to pherotalk SS!

My team has given you excellent advise.Most of our products come neroli scented which is a light scent that is easy to cover up.

You can always purchase a few 5ml bottles first to see how you like the scent on how you manage it before going into larger bottles.
