Hello

This is my first post. I am new to PheroTalk. I’ve read some of the posts here and I figured I’d get more out of it registered and interacted a bit. I hope to make some nice web friends and get to know a bit more about pheromones, how they work and how they can enhance my life.

Hmm… Let’s see. For starters, I’m 24, male and live in the West Los Angeles area. I just recently graduated college and I’m currently between jobs. I tried getting work in the financial sector but just so happened to pick the wrong economy for that sort of thing. I have been looking to get whatever kind of job hunting edge there is possible. I remember reading somewhere that some people have used pheromones successfully in helping to give them an advantage in interviews. I find that rather intriguing.

I guess you could say that I have unique needs in the scent department. As a gay male, I know that phermones affect us differently than other men. My understanding is that we have a similar sense of reacting to the smell of male pheromones as women but at the same time have something parallel to the response that a heterosexual male would have in their response to female pheromones, only we react that way to male pheromones only. I read something to that nature in an article featured in Discovery Channel Online. I’ve always wondered how a bisexual person would react to male and female (and whether or not there would be noted differences) pheromones and I guess I can certainly get some insight here.

Welcome.

If you tell us a bit about your personality, how you interact with people, your development goals, the type of ladies you like, etc you’ll not only qualify for a gift certificate but you’ll get a number of valuable suggestions.

Hey there Angelboi, welcome to the forums! You’re right, of course, you’ll get alot more out of the forums by interacting and asking any questions you might have, than just by browsing around. But what kind of questions do you have about phero’s?

Oh, and would you mind giving us some information about yourself? Like what kind of personality do you have, shy or outgoing? What were you hoping to accomplish with pheromones? Where did you want to use them? At home, at work, in a pub/club? And who were you hoping to affect with them? Yourself, co-workers, friends, some cutie? I know that’s alot of questions, but they’ll make sure we give you the best advice to suit your needs, as well as qualify you for a $25 gift certificate. So let’s hear some more from ya! Cheers for now!

Hello,

Welcome to the forum.

MFG is right, we need more information in order to give you some recommendation.
What is your personality? SHy or outgoing?

What is your purpose of using pheromones? Is ist for work, respect or others?

Do you have any targets in your mind?

Cheers

OK. I updated my initial post a bit. I felt it was too short.

What kind of guys do I like? The old school preppy kind. Not Abercromie, Hollister or any of that crap, but real prep like in the 80’s. The traditional style is still around, especially in the Northeast.

There is an Androtics product called Mystery Boy designed for gay males. There have not been a lot of reviews on it. Many people would be interested in what you had to say if you tried it and then reviewed it.

That definitely sounds interesting. I’ll have to check it out sometime.

I was wondering if they had any good quality unscented pheromone products here? I was thinking of mixing something like that with my favorite cologne.

And I also wanted to know precisely what kind of concentration is needed for 'mones to be effective?

Androtics has decided not to freely market unscented pheromone products for a number of reasons. One is that people find they smell of pheromones and don’t like them. Another is the diffusion of the pheromones is dependent on the carrier, and people “mixing their own” often wind up with something they don’t like. You’ll find some threads about this on the forum.

Effective concentration depends on the pheromone in question, your natural pheromone production, your personality, and the physiology and personality of the person smelling them. The best thing to do is experiment, starting with low doses of the commercial products and working upwards.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

There’s not really not anything unscented for beginners, there are other companies that take that tack but the idea with these products is to offer pheromones in a predictable scent package that has been designed for maximum diffusion. By going this route, a number of variables are reduced, so a beginner is assured a higher success rate.

The cologne you personally use may smell great, but it may have lousy diffusion and then the pheromones don’t disperse out into the air in the levels they were designed for. When I started, I wanted to just be able to add pheromones to my cologne and get hits too, now I understand and appreciate why AD offers commercial products for beginners the way they do. You get consistant diffusion (dispersion) of products, an easy method of finding your sweet spot (correct dosage) to consistantly know what to expect.

Each person requires a different dosage of different products, this is why these products aren’t concentrated, they’re at full strength, ready to spray. You need to determine how many sprays are right for you. That’s your sweet spot.

Now, I spray the commercial products on first and after drydown (15 minutes) I spray my favorite cologne (this is called layering.) I’m guaranteed the correct dosage for me and the smell of my favorite cologne. This is true of any of the commercial products except Ammo, which comes with its own cologne strength scent.

I see on another web site a lot of people having negative reactions or what appears to be no hits at all. Its not because the products are bad, some are terrific. The problem comes in the fact that with all pheromone products (including here) there is a learning curve, but the advice on the beginner’s learning curve is poor. Also, unlike here, there is almost no advice on what to look for as far as how to spot hits unless the hits are over the top. Few hits are extreme, so beginners assume the products aren’t working.

The after purchase care (support) at the other place --is lousy for beginners. “Customer Service” is limited to advice from other users (some of which are here too) or a piece of paper that comes with your order. Also annoying is manufacturers offering no advice about their own products, a lack of basic information. This is fine if you already know how pheromones work and understand all of the variables involved. Do you know what those variables are? Probably not. Abundant usage information is readily available on this site in the Men’s section in the sticky threads as well of the rest of the Men’s section.

I’m not trying to sell you anything, but as a beginner, if you want to see your best chance for success, give the commercial products here a try. Scented products are a feature, not a flaw.

BTW, my personal suggestions for you are Ammo, it’s a terrific attractant which gives off a sexy vibe, Instant shine to enhance your confidence levels and Instant Openness to get people to open up and talk to you. It’s a great icebreaker product.

I hope this helps…

Hello There, Welcome to Pherotalk

Yes basically Gay males wear the same mones as straight males. Gay men are attracted to male mones. However usually in a mix made for the gay lifestyle like Mystery Boy they use a mix of mostly male mones spiked with specific female mones to soften the aggressiveness of the male mixes

MB is a great product to start with as well as Ishine. They both work very well for Gay men and Bi men.

If you have any questions just ask, Your GC has gone out.

See ya in the forum
